Ten years ago I was in the Staatsarchiv in Weimar for twelve days, working hard about the Weimar decorations. So I can assure you, that more than 100 pieces were awarded. In 1918, June 12th exactly 95 pieces, and still even in March 1920 the Grandduke awarded several of them. At this time the government was very angry about this late award. A lawyer wrote to the grandduke, that he was no longer authorized, to award any decorations.

After the thread "Woman awards" another very interesting thread!
I can add some pieces of my former collection of german awards. These pieces are still available, but only in exchange with rare decorations of Oldenburg, house order and bars.
I start with the "Erinnerungskreuz f?r 1814/15" from Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt:

Very nice ! And a rare one !!
And, there is a more rare model, with a letter "E" on the oval's middle...
Greetings
I am sorry, but this information is not correct. The letter "E" ( for "Elisabeth"), 16 mm height, was not in the middle on the medal. It was only fixed with two splints on the ribbon of the award. As far as I know, there exists only a drawing of it, you can see in my book and find the original in my collection in the "Schlossmuseum Jever".

...Is that a "battle " medal? Was it awarded only to officers (like the Culloden medal) as a 'souviner' or was it quasi-official (e.g. state mint produced/awarded)?
It's wonderful.
Yes, it is a "battle" medal and I suppose, it was not only awarded to the officers. It has an original old black silk ribbon and it seems to be the first Prussian wearable medal. Friedhelm Heyde called it: Prussian "Honourmedal". It is well known, that the Prussian king already in 1741 awarded some medals to the generals and higher officers, but about this medal, up to now, there are no further informations.

It is sooooooooo difficult, to decide, but I think, I`ll choose this one.
It is a Prussian "Feldzugsmedaille" from the first Silesian War, 1740 - 1742, a silvermedal and as far as I know, the first Prussian war-medal at all. It is described in the book of Friedhelm Heyde: "Die altpreu?ischen Orden".

Now the silver "Anerkennungsmedaille".
And last not least, the bronze medal.
