    1. I just picked this up at the OVMS show in Wilmington, Ohio. 2nd type. Marked 938 and FR on bottom lower arm. The ring has and old repair. Would anyone know the award numbers for the Crown Order in all its grades? Cheers, Ed
    2. I have never purchased anything from emedals and have heard nothing except good comments about him, ....... but many of his Third Reich/Imperial bars are post war creations. He always seems to have medal bars with impossible Eastern people, Croation, or some other minor axis power combination. Just my opinion. ~Ed
    3. Yes it is an officers auto pennant, a little wind whipped from use but it has that "been there" look that I like. Thank you for the comments. Ed
    4. Here is an interesting item I've had for some time. I'm guessing it was given during the war (no victory medal) shortly after the kamikaze hit while she was being repaired. It is embossed with the USS Lamson's seal and the fellow crew members names and addresses on the reverse indicate the sudden parting of old friends. 5. What bars were awarded to Marine units? Thanks Ed
    6. Sadly this ancestral blade was left to rust. The top 8 inches taking it the hardest.
    7. I recently found this sword. Unfortunately it was keep in a leaky attic which rusted both the blade and the iron fittings. It is in the typical late war Shingunto mounts. The blade is old, straight, and with 2 tang holes making it most likely early Edo from about the mid 17th century. The saya is wood, laquered brown with kanji beneth the paint. ~Ed Maroli
    8. I have learned much from this thread. Thanks, Ed Maroli
    9. Thank you for the info. I have his Trio but have wondered if he would of had a LSGC with 12 years active service and 4 of his 6 reserve years during WWI? ~ED
