In case of Lehmann he isn´t listed in both works unfortunately. I´m sorry.
Stresemann was promoted to Fähnrich in 1905 so he probably joined the army that year or 1904. I guess his birthdate between 1882-1885 (+/- 2 years). After the war he staeyd in Leipzig, see the attachment from Leipziger Adreßbuch 1927. He´s listed in the Leipziger Adreß Buch till 1942. In the 1943 edition his trace is lost.
In 1939 he was Major (E) 01.04.34 at Stab Wehrmachtfürsorge-u.Versorgungsamt Leipzig, see http://forum.panzer-archiv.de/viewtopic.php?p=202169

Regarding the Saxon Rittm Erich Stresemann from UR 18, I was able to find his Year of birth in a German literature lexicon. And he was only co-author to the Regimental history of that/his Regiment. But he is still unsolved regarding more precise data including place of birth.
In that case please find attached a scan from the work of Erhard Roth: "Sächsisches Offizierkorps". I still couldn´t identify his birthplace. Possibly Dresden as a found 2 other saxon officers (former absolvents of the saxon cadet corps) with this name, who were natives of Dresden and maybe brothers (unconfirmed) of Erich. Please let me know if you need more details of his (peacetime) military service.
As you may know, Stresemann is a famous name in Germany through the German Weimar Republic Foreign minister Gustav Stresemann which lots of german streets are named.
Lots of greetings
Stefan

Have you ever heard of the german "Wer ist´s" (Who´s who) encyclopedia and "Kürschners Literaturkalender"? Above all in the latter there should be some information if he was such an productive writer.
If not, I can check them later that day as our library at work have these volumes.

Does anyone have photos of the Marinekorps Flandern troops in the trenches?
Maybe not what you're looking for but I have this Franz Eichhorst artist-card from a series of at least 32. You can find most part of the series here. The mentioned Collection Grabenhorst refer to I think Karl G., brother of the author of war-novel "Fahnenjunker Volkenborn", Georg Grabenhorst, who himself served 17/18 in the Marine Infantry as Fähnrich and described his time there.

Historische Bildpostkarten - 13.3 Bildpostkarten/Heil Stosstrupp 1917
The artist's signature APW seems to refer to the famous A. Paul Weber though he wasn't a stormtrooper

Chris,
That last one you have shown is the first one of these that I have seen that has writing on it. Like your other ones, my two are unsent. I wonder how many there were in the series?
I picked up this card from an auction recently. (NO Ebay) It was written and sent in July 1918 by a member of 10. Bavarian Infantry-Regiment.

The 26th Würtem. Div was there... this set of Poscards from the RIR 119 are a bit of a rarity....
Here is another one from my collection, written in 1917 from a member of Ersatzbataillon Res.Reg. 119. So it´s clear these cards were sold within the regiment.
All cards together form a rhyme:
Ufrichtich und gradraus
Guatmüatich bis dortnaus
Wenns sei muass au saugrob
Des isch a Schwob.

Nice photo, Deruelle. What is the medal, please, and why is he wearing the badge hanging from a bow rather than a normal medal ribbon? I would normally associate bows with medals awarded to women.
I´m sure these medals and the way he´s wearing it are some sort of Krieger-Vereins-Abzeichen, maybe "Verein Jäger und Schützen". Their "Vereinsuniform" were nearly identical to their military counterpart.

The signature on 2nd and 3rd Document in your last post dated 6.8.1919 is Major Zanthier. I guess this is Major Hans Christian Heinrich Lätare von Z. (1875-1969), 1918 Commander IR 107 and St. Henry Winner. Before outbreak of war he was at Saxon General-Staff.

Maybe we can narrow down the publishing date to an exact year. According to this Website publisher J.J. Samuels existed only from 1907-1908

Good evening guys,
I came across these two cartoons, published by J.J. Samuels, 371 Strand, W.C.
Although I´m collecting only German related Cartoons I couldn´t resist to buy these charming cards. Any collector out there who can tell me if there were further cards of this series I have to look for?

Thank you so far for the answers, much appreciated.
To make clear: I´m no specialist in identifying orders. Scherner was only a speculation of mine as he was only one of - I think 2-3- with ÖFJ3 I´ve found in a list I have from Daniel Krause. Meanwhile I doubt this is Scherner. No mention of Bavarian or Anhalt-Awards in Roth, instead he had a Red Cross medal.
Anyway, is it possible to identify this guy with this rare combo?

Men,
I need a little bit help. I have this photo of - what I assume - is a medical officer. Photo not dated or written but concluding from his uniform and the backside of the photo it was taken in France/Belgium, ca. 1916-18
Ordensschnalle:
1. Sachsen Verdienstorden wX-
2. EK2 -
3. Sachsen Dienstauszeichnungskreuz
4. ?
5.?
Single orders:
Albrechtsorden Offizierskreuz mit Krone und Schwerten
EK 1
Österreich Franz-Joseph-Orden Offizierskreuz
My idea is maybe Generaloberarzt/Generalarzt Dr. Anton Scherner?
Gruß und Dank Stefan

Meine Herren,
attached pic. shows JOHANNES Felix Müller from IR 104 in 1885 as a young Fähnrich at Cassel War school.
Sources say, he fell on March 6th 1915 as Oberstleutnant and Cdr.(?) of Ersatz-Regiment-9 (is this Landwehr-Ersatz-Inf.Rgt. 9, then IR 354?)
What I´m looking for is his birth-date/place. Maybe someone have a later photo of him
Viele Grüße
Stefan

Guys,
got this photo from the grave of saxon Major and St. Henry winner Johannes Kückens, born 1871, who fell July 15th 1918 near Souain as regimental cdr. IR 105.
Any idea where this grave has been? No mention in Volksbund database so I suppose he was buried on a cemetary behind the lines and later exhumed and laid to rest at home.
