Nice Picture!
He was a former Reserve-Officer of GR 101 "Kaiser Wilhelm, König v. Preußen, transferred to Landwehr 1895 and back to the reserve of GR 101 on 07. Sept. 1916. On the shoulderboard on your pic. he´s wearing the cypher "WR I" with crown. On that time he was the CO of 1. Ersatz-Bat./IR 134 and your photo is with great possibility from this date.
I also have a photo of him with officers from Ersatz-Bataillon /Landwehr-IR 107, ca. August-Sept. 1914 where he is pictured without Litzen, SB not visible.
Hoffmann was a somewhat famous pharmacist in Baden-Baden, that´s why he´s wearing the Zähringer. He later lived in Wiesbaden and died in 1947

PS: could I have a clearer scan of it for my database?
Thank you.

But absolutely no gleam about the third guy. Looks like he´s wearing an EK2 1870. My first thought was Kriegsministerium but with an 1870 EK would tend to an General.

The Ulanen-guy could be Rittmeister Georg von Römer, Ulanen-Rgt. 17, on duty-command to the king´s sons from 1906-1909.
Is he wearing a Red Eagle Order 4?

But I worry who are the other 3 guys.
The 2nd ist most likely Georg Baron O´Byrn, military governor of the princes, in the uniform of GR 101.

Gentlemen,
I have this nice Tellgmann photo in my collection. It shows us all three Sons of King Frederic August III. in their Leibgrenadier-Uniforms.
Crown Prince Georg (1rst), Ernst Heinrich (3rd) and Friedrich Christian (4th.) On the backside there´s a handwritten inscription which dates it from 1904. But I think it was taken between 1906-1909/10.

Landwehrbezirk Leipzig I and II were the Kontrollbezirke for Saxon officers living in Prussia.
Hi Dave.
The responsibility of the Landwehrbezirke (the saxon ones especially) is an interesting topic for me. Can you mention me some reference works?

Will check the saxon Militär-Verordnungsblatt 1911 and 1914 Ranklist tonight .
I also have a saxon Rangliste of 1918.
Hallo Andreas. An dieser Rangliste wäre ich sehr interessiert.
Könnte ich die als Kopie o.ä. bekommen?
Gruß Stefan
PS: mentioned Rudolf Barth (born 24.7.81 in Hettstedt, Provinz Sachsen) received the St. Henry KC in April 1918 as Hauptmann in general-Staff of 53. saxon Reserve-Division.

Hi guys.
I bought this nice photo from ebay last week as a birthday present to myself.
It´s the first of it´s kind for me. So I´m interested if someone is able to give me some background infos.
Where these pics sold seperately or as a whole scrapbook or something else?
One unusual thing is the printed name on it. The pics I´ve seen so far were all without any note of the portrayed person.
