Hi Stefan,
Glad this data was of interest to you. I saved the notes, but they are at my office and I am away for a week. I'll get the citations for you when I return.
Cheers
OK Mike, many thanks for that.
Cheers

Hi Mike.
Coooooooooollllllllllllllll
Didn?t expected that anyone will reply me for my question.
From what source is this?
Can?t see precise the entry on the 2nd picture. Could you please tell me what is written there or maybe make a bigger picture?

I?m sorry to say but that is not an artillery-officer because of the german cuffs the man wear.
Saxon artillery wore swedish cuffs. Also the shoulderboards have white underground which is another indication for infantry.

For me it looks like "179" - also saxon.

Hmm, yes, there is a short description on the back
"Sachsen Zeithain 1912"
Zeithain was the training ground for XIX. Armee-Korps, so i think the picture was made during manoevers ath this place. That would also fit with the units IR 104 and 133.

The unit should be Feld-Artillerie-Rgt. Nr. 11

Heinert volunteered in 1913 to the regiment and belonged to the 1. company since I think 1918/19. At this time he was the only member of his company who served the whole time in one company. His later company commander was

Interesting!! I had marked his bio for some reason.
Have you seen the Golden St Henry book?
He got the medal for a very bloody grenade-tossing, night action against British troops near Foureaur.
Hi Ulsterman.
It?s a funny thing with the book: on the same day, I visited Heinert?s grandson, I got the book from a good friend of mine. And when I look inside, I found this dedication from the family Oskar Fritzsche - another gold-medal-winner from IR134 -to his nephew, for confirmation
So, this was an absolutely amazing weekend.

Hi.
Can someone please do a lookup in the Oldenburg-Rolls for Konrad Appelbaum, Hauptmann d.Res. in IR 134.
In 1906 he received the Ehrenritterkreuz 2nd class. I?m searching informations, what he do in civilian life.
Thanks so far.

Closeup of medalbar Nr. 2
I think, first is PKr4X, SA3cX and last DSWA? If so, Hauptmann Walter Sievert would fit.

Hi pals. Picture shows officers from IR 134 in August 1914 at main train station in Plauen before being departured "in?s Feld". Is there any possibility to identify Nr. 1 and 2? I have a suggestion that 1 is the regimental commander Oberst von der Decken and 2 Hauptmann Sievert. But i?m unsure.

The unit is given on the first page as 13/M30, Berlin, the collar patch in the photo bears 58/R39.
What's the significance of the M & the R please, do they indicate the type of Gruppe?
M=Motorstandarte, M30=Motorstandarte 30.
"R"=Reserve-Standarte (a normal foot-Standarte with men of 36-45 years) and has nothing to do with NSKK. So the person on the photo wears collar patches from Sturm 58/Reserve-Standarte 39. Resreve-Standarte were disbanded after December 1936.

Stefan,
Alfred Stadler is listed in DAL A 1 May 1942 as an Oberstleutnant. However the list shows his last peacetime assignment. He is shown in the 3 Jan 1939 Stellenbesetzung as an Hauptmann (E) and company commander of 2 (E)/I.R. 9. He was born on 25 November 1898 at Plauen/Vogtland.
This page from DAL AI of 1 May 1941 shows his 1 April 1940 (24) promotion to Major. It is clear from this that he had transfered from (E) back to regular status.Regards
Glenn
Hi Glenn.
Massive thanks for your support. Fantastic.
Only one more question: 2 (E)/I.R. 9.: to which bataillon did the company belong? To the Ausbildungsbataillon (Training bataillon) or I. (active) bataillon?
Viele Gr??e Stefan

Continuing with the theme. This the cove rpage of Dienstaltersliste A of May 1942. Again regular officers and the precursor to both Dienstalterlsisten I and then S & T. This particular list only contained General officers through captains.
Hi Glenn.
Could you do a lookup in above Dienstaltersliste for this person:
