Hey Fellas,

Here's one new to the nest - an unmarked Juncker 3rd Pattern (zinc) Flak. This example has a navy style wide pin instead of the usual needle pin. This is only the third I've seen with this hardware, so I HAD to get her. She came cased as well. Anyone else have one with the wide pin hardware?

Judging from the hardware, your eagles look to be from the firms of Wiedmann and FLL - are either maker marked?

I believe I can say with 100% certainty that your Fliegerschutzen wears a 2nd Pattern Assmann Radio Operator/Air Gunner Badge - Look at the size of that wreath!

That's a sweet one with a 2nd model (alu. style) eagle! The inscriptions add so much to it - congrats on a nice 1st pattern!

A very good possibility woodeye - it could very well have been done by the recipient. Then again, it could have been issued to him in an already altered state, an earlier Radio Operator/ Air Gunner Badge reissued to a Air Gunner/Bordmechaniker at a later time during the war. Would be very difficult to know positively unless it came straight from the recipient or his family who knew the story behind it.

Hi Tim,

I really see no problem with it either - a keeper IMO. As John said and I agree, a Juncker wreath and hardware with the Unmarked styles' eagle. Looks to be two bona fide makers' parts married once again. Great shape too. What's the connection here? I'd like to know that too! Just as a side here, a pic of your reverse with the reverse of my unmarked Juncker. Identical in every way.

Can't help you with the regiment information, but I do like your badge. An original 2nd pattern Juncker ROAG with blitz removed.
