I have to admit I know nought about DDR medals but as I have some Soviet and German I thought why not....
Looks like 2 long service medals and 2 for outstanding service...any body got any ideas what the last two are for.
A Couple of stasi badges...they came as a group.
I have to admit the quality is better than most...Soviet bars...as are the badges...darn Germans...

This is a non-magnetic core neusilber juncker piece which I bought recently: Cost 6500 Euro. (on a well worn 2nd class ribbon)

The first example posted is a Junckers (Grabmanns)...below it is the same cross with another Junckers which is not de-nazed. They are both early Nickel Silver.

The numbers....

The pair a bit closer....these orders I believe were very underrated by the collecting community and are beginning to pick up interest...I personally find the design of this medal to be the ultimate in Soviet Imagery

I read in the Telegraph today that this country's MOD is descaling the Navy down to something the size of the Task Force sent to the Malvinas....
Delete Malvinas and Insert Falkland Island.
Unless you are Argentinian of course.

I'm also wondering if these medals, being important enough, might have been publicized in the local (in this case Estonian) newspapers at the time of bestowal?.........
Maybe...but I do notice with Estonian medals most are in good condition as they are not worn......I do think that there would have been an article about the man and the medal at the time.

(from MONDVOR SITE)

These documents normally do have serial numbers but this variant doc did not....I belive it is quite a rare variant and not commonly seen.
These medals were awarded approx 24,000 times.

Were these normally made of real silver?...the later types were not, I do know that...the version shown is an early (and well worn as I like) issue with a case as well!
