    1. This web site shows some items from a shop in old Tallinn...I have bought a few pieces from him recently...ironically they did not belong to him but one of his shop assistant's who was selling some items from her private collection.

He has a nice shop with some good pieces but also many made up groups.

He is worth examining if you know what to look for....he is expensive but can be knocked down.

      Small world.

    2. This is a very early Pilots badge for the first Soviet civil aviation fleet "Dobrolyot". The emblem was created by artist K.S.Malevich.

This fleet had quite a close conection to early German civil aviation as well....so much so that I think the badge may be even made in Germany as the catch is so ....er...well German!

      Any thoughts?

    3. Hi Kev

yes, the LMG was converted to 7.62 and the flash hider was different, the mag did fit on the SLR, I carried 11 mags ( and bandoleers) and most of these were LMG...not issued but proffed over the years.

Happiness in a contact is mucho ammo.

I would never want to hump a .5

    4. Nice unit. They were very good guns. They even used them in the Falklands war.

Yes, but depending on which unit you were in....we had a LMG (as we were an artic unit...mags being better than belts due to freezing) and a GPMG in each section.

Yes, it is an Estonian Fire Fighters badge circa 30ties during the first Independence, I think they are long service badges, this one for five years good service.
