    1. Hi Joe, that is great thanks, always looking for info on buckles, I was told if it had come with a brown belt it would have been traffic police but now I know. Any chance of some clear pics of your tab please? Thanks
    2. Gents as promised, my new addition, very rare 1943 dated water police buckle, tabs with this date on are like hens teeth Came with a KM marked belt, not sure if that was issued with the buckle but they have been together a long time, enjoy
    3. Hi Rob, I must have read it wrong, I thought you thought it was a fake still. The buckle is a good one Rob, and quite a rare beast. It was not uncommon for soldiers in the SS to have tabs sewn on for support. If you look at the stitching on that one IMO it is period done. Obviously the tab canme from a Dr frank Heer buckle at some point. When it arrives I have just bought a Water Police buckle by CTD with a 1943 dated tab, for the one of the Holy Grails of buckles, I will post pics when it comes
    4. Rob, why do you think it is fake?
    5. Guys just for reference here is an original SS by RODO (Robert Dold Offenberg)
    6. Makers mark. If fact these buckles are quite rare, they might be worth more than I have put down, like I said I dont collect SS only Heer (But I have treat to show you guys when it turns up )
    7. Rob, sorry mate but JFS did make SS buckles, JFS and RODO were the only companies not to use the RZM stamp and numbers markings for their buckles, I have enclosed a picture of one for example
    8. The tab is not original to the buckle, SS never came with tabs put some soldiers added them for support. I would put value at around $600 - $700 ( but I dont collect SS so get a couple of answers)
    9. It would be great Joe if you could find out the maker, I have been trying for a long time to find out this information, as have alot of other buckle collectors
    10. Just for info, normally tabs are marked with the makers info and location of maker, it seems that the SRM is a one off Thanks
    11. Hi all, I normally collect belt buckles and I need ID with this maker. I know they made belt buckles and I have been told that they made badges, awards and cap badges so I hope I am writing this in the right section. The makers initials are SRM, that all I know about them. I have enclosed a couple of pics of the makers mark, any help guys would be great, please pm me if you have any info Many thanks
    12. Last pic is a close up of the eagles head, I just love that expression
    13. This last one is special to me, again quite a rare maker and hard to get, also in great condition for an aluminium buckle. Nice Gbr Gloerfeld buckle dated 1938. Point to note here, I have only ever seen these buckles dated 1938
