Whether it be a door knob, broom handle, cigarette butt or documented Russian Medal Group, I see no difference through my eyes. It's either all good or all bad in my book.
Hi,
In my opinion ,others may disagree but I can not see a major problem here ,its been saved from possible destruction !
How many US soldiers mailed captured items back home during WW2 ??
Yet again these items will form part of history and in years to come will be appreciated as such.

Hello again Steve:
Wow! A real pilot's badge! This is something that I will never have a chance to own in my lifetime. Congratulations!
I believe that since Wilhelm G?dde was assigned to Kampfstaffel 19, he was probably not flying bombers, but was flying escort for bombing missions on the Western Front. It appears as though Kampstaffel 19 was attached to Bogohl 4.
A fascinating grouping! Do you have a G?dde's Milit?rpa? or a photograph of him?
"SPM"
I have a photo of him taken sadly just before his death and a copy of his marriage certificate. This was provided to me by the family, i will see what i can find and post it accordingly.
best wishes

Hello Steve:
I couldn't help but notice the stamp "KGL. PR. BOMBENGESCHWADER 4 O.H.L.". This of course stands for "Royal Prussian Bombengeschwader der Obersten Heeresleitung Nr. 4" or "Bogohl 4" for short.
So this fellow was possibly a bomber pilot on the Western Front.
Congratulations on owning such a scarce document!
Best regards,
"SPM"
fascinating !!! i am certainly learning...heres the rest of the group.
thanks

WW1 Prussian Tank badge 1921 ++
in Germany: Imperial: The Orders, Decorations and Medals of The Imperial German States
Posted · Edited by arrestanddevelopment
Hi,
Thought i would post some pictures of my Junker tank badge,"probably" made interwar period, though open to conjecture.
My only concern is the Junkers mark has a top to the "j"
The badge is beautifully constructed with a rayed back ,note no dodgy crown and crecent marks.
It is hollow and constructed from tombac with silver plate.
Originally acquired many years ago from a family in France, no further details or documentation to confirm originality.Though holding it and studying it under high magnification it appears totally period ie 1921/1939 (only my own humble opinion for what its worth)
Some may like it,some may not, personally i do ,either way heres the pictures..and always interested to hear negative and positive comments .
Best wishes
Steve
