This is a small collection of various badges from different Russian Departments and Services. Years ago at Gun and Militaria Shows one would see all kinds of these badges for sale.

As far as I'm concerned the patch at the down right corner is a "Belarus airborne" patch

This is my small collection of arm patches from Russia, Ukraine, and one from Chechnya. All the patches that do not have a country listed with the patch are from Russia otherwise the country will be listed with the patch.
I tried to be as accurate as possible so if anyone sees a mistake or has something to add, please feel free to do so.

Here is a button with the same insignia of the Airforce Wing:

Lorenzo,
If these are the same insignia, why do the wings have a torch in the center and the button has a crown above the wings?

Hi Bob, call me Captain Obvious, but it would seem that Special Forces and Thunders are one in the same and not different formations as previously thought. I would still have to wonder about paras though... Sometimes I see Special Forces used with the Eagle/Dragon symbol and other times I see Special Forces used with the Eagle/Parachute symbol, and it seems that just about everyone wears wings! I also see that many of the "Special Forces" units carry Republican Guard designations. It's all clear as mud to me
. Scott.
Scott,
It is my understanding that the "Thunder Troops" are a special unit inside the Special Forces.
