The only ones Im dodgy on are the SS ones- the others appear to have period fastners
Maybe worth seeing if the makers marks come up as known repro

Hi Bill
The second 2 pairs of links appear to be good ie aged etc. the first set appear to be based on the SS cap button. Are there any markings on any of the sets?

The last appears from the front to be the combat merit medal, but the ribbon is wrong. The ribbon is for the Medal "100th Anniversary of April Uprising 1876-1976". The reverse of the combat merit medal should have a star and the text "ЗА БОЕВА ЗАСЛУГА" ("For combatant merit").

Having these listings is valuable information to both historians and medal collectors. Thankyou Chris for taking the time to reasearch - and indeed type it all out. The M/cycle corps served in East Africa - the bicycles proved inadequate and they imported some 400 B.S.A's from England.

Its the movemnets brassard-worn by movers-ie aircraft movers /loaders
The RAF police one can still be issued for raincoats etc but the shoulder mars bar is more prevelant now and is worn on the front of the gortex jacket
If you need a set can try and get some for you-I'm still serving RAF

Thanks Perce. So, is this one still worn? If not, can you tell me when it was discontinued please?Ed
I also have an armband that I have not been able to identify. Perhaps you could help? It is also British. It is red with the yellow letters MOV. Any ideas?

Hi
That is the brassard from the working dress uniform and the rank is Sgt. A better quality wool one is worn with the No1 Dress uniform. Rank is now worn on the shoulder.
