Looks like an escape map-the aircrew maps were more substantial
I've got one that covers France and Belgium
although I believe in the 50's/60's a company made scarves for the civillian high street market that looked like escape maps and have been sold as such

Have a werke plate recovered from an engine of a Heinkel 111 that was found during a dive in the 80's in the Channel Islands-Can I find out what happened to the crew? is there a list of work numbers and fates of the aircraft in book form or on the net-any help gratefully rxed

What award is this? -the recipient is WW2 and Post War RAF killed in an accident in 1948- the photo is taken in 1946 so trying to work out if its a foreign/commonwealth award issued for wear by RAF airmen -he was an air gunner- Any ideas?-the IWM stated it may be a Luftwaffe WW1 award (don't think so !!!!!!!!!!!!)-it's being worn on the left hand pocket of the battledress just so you know!!!
