    10. Thank you very much, as I said above, still a work in progress Scott.
    11. An Iraqi produced utility cap, very plain but difficult to obtain. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127889539863.jpg.jpg]
    12. Shown here are some of my berets. From the top left, column 1 Airborne/SF, Air Force. Column 2 Thunders, RG/Army. Column 3 Supply and logistics, Air Defence, Navy, RG/Army. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127889527902.jpg.jpg]

    14. Here is an Iraqi Ceremonial Guard sun helmet, it is a rather cheap knockoff af a British pattern with the Republic badge affixed to the front. These were used by mounted guards in parade functions and outside of the palaces for offical state functions. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127889487119.jpg.jpg]
    15. Here is a nice cased staff college breast badge. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127888941136.jpg.jpg]http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127888948375.jpg.jpg]
    16. Another small case showing some Iraqi Air Force patches and badges. Shown here are the various styles of wings in metal and bullion, different group badges, and air defence insignia. Also shown are the Air Force academy patch and the Air defence school patch. Again sorry for the glare http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127888923663.jpg.jpg]
    17. This is a small display of some Republican Guard insignia, shown here are varieties of the triangle insignia to include plastic, metal, and cloth. A red shoulder qardoon, different styles of breast flag pins from pre 1991-2003. Some special mission and unit badges, and two Nebuchadnezzar Division Military Police badges. Sorry for the glare... http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127888889806.jpg.jpg]
    18. Here is the two piece Fedayeen uniform showing the distinctive helmet and face mask, as well as the insignia and black belt. This uniform came in a jumpsuit variety in black and white as well. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127888857338.jpg.jpg]
    19. This is an Iraqi Commando known as Thunder Troops. Shown here is the green Jordanian made beret with the gilt Thunder Troops badge. The green qardoon for Thunder Troops and the sleeve and breast badge for Thunders. The uniform is a very lightweight Iraqi produced pattern with mathching camo shoulder boards for a Lieutenant. Little is known about these troops and their operations so any info would be much appreciated. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127888816187.jpg.jpg]
    20. this is the utility sweater of a Lieutenant Colonel of Staff. The red stripe on the German made shoulder boards denotes a graduate of the Staff College. The beret is that of a unit that has been "decorated" by Saddam Hussein for their actions, hence the vertical red stripe. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127888759382.jpg.jpg]
    21. Another favorite of mine. This is an iraqi made copy of the French "Lizard " pattern camo. This uniform came from Mosul in 2003 and as you can see it has the insignia of Iraqi special forces. The actual training and implemantation of Special Forces units in Iraq under the Republic leaves much to be desired. This uniform shows an Iraqi produced ballistic helmet with net and foliage cover, a Tabuk magazine carrier as well as an additional mag holder in tan, and the protective mask. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127888732506.jpg.jpg]
    22. I should have mentioned that my mannequin is a bit lacking for the subject matter, but these things are costly. This uniform is another Republican Guard unifrom. This one is from the 1990-91 War and is a Captain with unit marked field gear. You can see the the M80 tan over painted helmet and net, also shown is the red qardoon (rope) denoting Republican Guard. Visible on the sleeve is the red with white border triangle emblem of the RG, and on the breast is the national flag worn by many iraqi soldiers. This is truly one of my favorite uniforms.
    23. This is an Iraqi made desert camo pattern uniform that I was able to "liberate" in 2003. This uniform belonged to a Lieutenant in the Special Republican Guard. shown here is the complete uniform to include Iraqi made boots, a protective mask and carrier with a name, an Iraqi made chest pouch for Tabuk (AK) magazines, and the black beret of the Republican Guard. Also visible is the Republican Guard Special or Hard missions badge. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_07_2010/post-4139-127888593734.jpg.jpg]
    24. Now that I seem to have pictures all sorted out I thought I would share some of my Iraq collection. I am more of a combat collector than a medals and orders type, but I hope that there is something here for all to enjoy. I welcome any and all feedback as it can only help to open eyes about this new area of collecting. Again, this is a work in progress and I am a bad photographer . Thanks for viewing and enjoy. Scott.
    25. Hello all, I have been reading this thread with great interest. My son was recently given a small grouping of items that belonged to a veteran of the Polish 2nd corps, 3rd Carpathian Rifles. In this grouping are the 2nd Corps badge as pictured above with serial # 27526, a 3rd Carpathian Rifles badge like the one pictured above with the words "WARA WYTRWATOSC ZWYCIESTWO" on the reverse, a green cloth beret patch and 2 blue versions of the same patch, a beautiful bullion 8th Army SSI and a bullion Poland tab, along with two red/green metal collar tabs and one red/whit/blue metal collar tab. They belonged to a local veteran here in Michigan named Major Marian Marks (I am sure that I am off on the spelling). He passed them on to a fellow Ford employee who in turn gave them to my son. I was wondering if anyone knew any info on him or his service record. Any help at all would really brighten the day of a 14 year old boy . Thank you, Scott.
