Sorry for the bad pics, my camera doesn't like me i think here is a better picture. There is also a very interesting die flaw that looks like they filed away on the badge. Was this done on these late war zinc badges?0

yes, also because its not the same to watch them in pictures than in real life, but sometimes pictures helps a lot; there are also many more web-sites with information,

Hello Gang,
While survaying my local antique shop, i noticed a Japanese artillery shell for sale. The shell aws resonably priced and in pretty good shape, so i parted with some hard earned cash and went home a happy shopper. Later that night i decided to give a light cleaning and doing so i unscrewed the fuze. Inside the round was a paper rolled up, after fishing it out i noticed it was torn into four pieces. Here is what the paper says. "Pursuiant to provisions of war Department memo W/370-3-43, 22 July 1943, and of the headquarters, USAF(FE? cant make out) circulation No.21, 5 March 194(cant make date out) the bearer F.S. Szostak Pvt 15018023 of the certificate is entilted to retain in his posession or to mail the following captured enemy equiptment. 2 Jap 25mm Shells disarmed----

Just found out some great info. I did a little internet digging and found an original add for the resturant in the kunst house in the 1937 exhibition catalog. The add says the resturant uses bruckmann dinner ware and shows photos of the fork and other ware. It seems this was a add for the resturant and bruchman. Mystery solved.
Thanks gang for the great leads

Hello Gang,
I could use help on this one. I picked this fork up a local antique store and am not shure what the nazi logo on it is. The reverse of the fork is stamped bruckmann 90. Anyone have an idea where in Germany this may have come from?
Thanks All

Hi Johnsy,
His service records say that he enlisted in september of 1940, he was killed in march 1943 as a result of a crash on a trainging exercise while piloting a wellington. Sadley it does't say when he arrived in england.
thank You

Hi gang,
I recently picked up a Canadian ww2 group to a john williams harold heard R-74590 Royal Canadian Air Force. The group consists of a 1939-1945 star defence medal, voluntary service medal and clasp, war medal, and memorial cross engraved. My question is this it came with a copy of his service record from the Canadian Archives that say he was awarded the france and germany star and not the 1939-45 star, very confussed was this possible or could the papers be wrong?
Thank you

Are there variations in the 1914 bar? I've seen some with a smooth background and some with a rough pattern to the bar on the front.
Thanks all

Thank You Ralph,
I have two, the one with the oak leaf is a type 2 silver member medal and the other is a gold order with the hallmarks. Are values the same for the type1 and the type2 military awards?

Hi gang,
I have two questions i need some help with. I have a mbe with the gallantry oak leaf on the ribbon in the case. My question is this, what are they worth these days? My second question is there a way to date them by the hallmarks on the reverse, does anyone have a list?
