Hi
I bought the dress tunic about 6 months ago. I was given the oportunity to buy the officers upgraded combat tunic last month. They both belonged to LT Frotz Beer. I would like to thank the seller as he could have sold the second tunic to anybody else.
It is interesting that I did not realized that Fritz Beer died at 21 years. I think we get sometimes to caught on the exitement of getting a historical piece that we sometimes forget the terrible reality of WWII.
thanks
JUan

Hi
I will post photos of both tunics when I get the tunic. I wanted to thanks Chis as I will be able to keep the tunics that belonged to Lt Fritz Beer. The cap and the aguillette in the photo did not belonged to Lt Beer.
thanks

Some damned nice tunics there ! Where did you pick up the general?
Thanks for the comments. I looked for 2 years for a nice General tunic. I was lucky tha it belonged to a pioneer General. Generalmajor Hans Bessel helped in the constuction of the Gustav line. I bought the tunic from Helmut Weitze that got it from the General's grandson.
thanks
Juan

Hi
I just wanted to share with gentlemen a story. I try to collect named tunics with the hope that I will find the owner?s identity. I bought a nice pioneer piped tunic 2 years ago. It was named to Haupmann Fiedler. I was able to find the owner?s identity. It was sad to find that he was killed less than 2 months before the end of the war.
You can see more photos of the tunic in this link. The tunic is # 7
