    1. OK Gordon, So, as I understand your directions, the attached picture (with the circular patch removed) is how the badge should be applied to the hat. Right? Ed
    2. Hi Gordon, No problem. Just to let you know; my wife and I are going on a driving vacation Friday, 9/25 for about a month but I will be checking my email every couple of days. I have an envelope addressed to you and will carry it with me so I can send the check as soon as we get that part squared away. If you want to, we can move this to my e-mail, keeneagle@verizon.net Thanks for getting me on track. Ed
    3. Gordon, I need your help before I can send a check. I thought I could get the correct amount of the postage from our Post Office but they were unable to tell me. Please tell me how much the postage is (in US dollars if possible and I'll get the check out) Sorry for the delay. Thanks again Ed
    4. Thanks for the clarification. The cocakde is sewn on, so I need to remove it and put the badge on, right? Ed
    5. Gordon, Check will be in the mail to you Wednesday. Thanks again, Ed
    6. Gordon, Got the emblem in the mail today. I've attached two pictures. TWO QUESTIONS: 1. Is the badge positioned correctly or should it be tilted to the right? 2. The emblem has 2 pins on the back whereas the hat has a single hole. Is there a different type of badge that should be used for the single hole or is this just a different version? Thanks SO much for all your help (and Bernhard's as well). Ed
    7. Thanks Doc
    8. Gordon, Another quick question. The earlier device posted appeared to be silver while this one looks bronze. Is there a difference as far as the color? One for officers and one for enlisted? Just wonderng. Thanks again for all your help. Ed
    9. Gordon, Sounds like a plan. I'll post an updated picture of the hat when I get everything in place. Thanks again for all your help. Ed
    10. The AF Good Conduct ribbon (#5) and the AF Longevity ribbon (#7) are upside down. They are worn with the "stem" pointing down to the left. The correct designation for the device is an "Oak Leaf Cluster". E
    11. May or may not have been an officer. I believe the Army Good Conduct medal was only awarded to enlisted. Ed
    12. Gordon, FANTASTIC!!! Please convey my deepest appreciation to your friend. Now for the IMPORTANT questions!! 1. How do I get it? 2. Who do I owe 3. How much? Ed Keeney 1830 Artemis Ridge West Richland, Washington 99353 USA
    13. Good Day All, Not sure if this is the correct forum but have to start somewhere-right? I would like to get information on how I can get a duplicate Purple Heart citation that my Dad received in Viet Nam. He was a retired US Army 1st Sergeant/Msgt. He passed away in 2000. About a year after his death, my Mom was going through his framed citations, removing them and placing them in a scrapbook. She donated the frames to a local Goodwill store. It was sometime later we realized the PH citation was missing. I believe it got overlooked and was still in a frame that was donated. I have the original awarded PH as well as the orders awarding it to him, but have been unable to get any kind of a response from different agencies asking the original question. If anyone could assist by providing a good contact address, I would be most appreciative. If you like, you may contact me via my regular e-mail: keeneagle@verizon.net Thanks in advance for any assistance. Ed

    17. Thanks again Gordon for making time to help out. Hope your trip was enjoyable. Ed
    18. Gordon, Thanks so much. Now the obvious questions - How do I go about getting the emblem you indicated (and how much might it cost me :-) Ed
