While sorting through a ziplock with about 10 tinnies and other assorted Imperial & European pins in it ...I found these Oaks. They do have nice detail but ..I can't lock them in.
I was thinking along the lines of Imperial ...what's interesting is I posted these and Bob Hritz posted a matching set that he bought with a group of Imperial Awards.
Have any of you seen this style before ?
Dont forget the Z?hringen Lion order with oaks...

Gentlemen,
just some short words because my street style english is not good enough to tell what I want to tell - I don`t know enough bad words!!!
all of you are working every day on saving history, restoring groups, collecting data and information - a worldwide military collecting network against the time in order to keep a long gone time living!!!! And then there are people like this........................
Some days ago I sold the medal bar and buttonhole mini of Zeug-Major a.D. Fuhr on ebay.de , that`s what it looked like some days ago in my house....
When I see the emasculated bar I was thinking I?ve it seen before...It?s a shame...but you can not control the things when they go out of your reach or control. So, bit the teeth and...
Sorry again

Shabby and ragged spange. What do you think about the second place...
It seems a general service to the state ??, but the backing is odd...

MUCH rarer, as those of you who have bought the awards rolls books will know.
BTW, I am still "tweaking" absolutely PRECISE numbers of lovely chocolate bronze versus decent gray zink by groups whose recipients can be identified and matched to the rolls. So far the first verified zinky recipient was Oberstleutnant Georg Schmidt, commander of Inf Rgt 82, on 9 July 1917.
That?s great. Thanks for your work...

After this I have a Ciclo permit (F?hrrades) bilingual with English...(I don?t Know where is the Town of Herne), the inmmediate postwar...sept., 19, 1945. What?sthe history of this guy...?He goes to a "Segelfliegerschule), but to not avail after this...No luftwaffe papers..., so he rest civil?? or goes to the whermacht as normal landser??, but he has already 36 at 1939...Too old to fight??.

Hi Miguel, I think the bar is "home-made" by a frugal veteran. The fakers usually do not do such sloppy work.
Thanks...That?s another reason to think about...

Richard,
Glad that you liked the book! I wanted to give a heads-up to U-Boat collectors who might be interested. I was not aware that this had been published until my friend brought me a copy back from Germany.
All The Best,
Erik
I can?t find it at VDM internet bookshop...Can you send me a direct link??
Thanks

There was great confusion in 1938 and later about what was allowed and what was not. The VERY "Nazi" looking Austrian WW1 Commemorative Medal was often mistakenly left off, because it was incorrectly assumed to have been banned. It was not.
Thanks. Go to bed, Have a Nice day...
