Sal,
after looking up the Kondor boat on the net I found it started service in 1926,so my observations are not applicable. I will try finding out what is the reason for the various of use of C and K.

Hi,
Scott you are right there is such a bird. Basically there is a simple explaination:A lot of German words were written with a "C" for some time and it was changed to a "K"-you will easily find old pictures that say Coeln when it is K?ln nowadays. So my guess is that torpedoboat was starting service later than the name Condor came to the Legion.I have no idea of the exact year the use changed.

After having shown this on other forums and receiving not really comparable comments I must state my respect for Chip and Mr. Murphy! Thanks alot guys. I have one final question regarding the Reichskokade on one side-what is with the other? I had people complaining the black one on the other side not being ok. Chip, here is what you wanted to see...

Robert,
maybe it is not in Huesken for it is a day-badge? The text reads 100 yrs festival,so maybe it is in Tieste (don?t know if thats the correct spelling)

Hi lads,
I have thought about a reference thread based on an original book on WHW tinnies.I will start off with the collection from 33/34. If you like the idea I will continue till 38/39.
Now here is the book all this can be found in. It is the 2nd edition from 1939,so there might be follow ups with the missing years, but I am glad to have found this one.It also contains the Gausammlungen, but that part is text only.Interesting to note the author?s mentioning the help of collector?s nationwide to gather pictures of the tinnies.

Appreciating your help very much,Sir! The field badge seems to be sewn onto the base,I can?t really move it.However, from a strange angle I can see the points of interest on the crown and it is identical to the one your link and description led me to!
Kindest Regards

Rosenberg,
The officer's shako would have the same general design of the Prussian eagle on the helmet plate, but normally of a nicer finish and with a pierced or voided crown. We cannot see what the crown on the eagle looks like, because it is obscured by the field badge in your photos. I was assuming that it is an officers.
Chip
Thanks again,Chip. I am surprised by its value! I tried to get a picture of the eagle, but it s impossible. Can you provide a picture of what an officer?s crown looks like?

Thanks,Chip! Where would that lining be if it was there? I always thought officers wore a different eagle?

Hello,
I need help with this one here.Is it authentic and what was it for`? I?d appreciate any help on this.....
If some pics show details in red color this is due to my camera.Originally these parts are made of brown leather.

Hi,
I discussed this lanyard with another member and we both agreed on the pattern of the alu-wire being strange here.Is it safe to say this lanyard is a fake?
