Hello, I already posted this pic at the "Northern section", especially Finland. But since there have been no replies till now...I think a better place to put this really nice medal bar for a closer discussion is this forum section. I discovered this medal bar on a Finnish dealer side. Best regards Detlef

Wow, sank you. But I am wondering: Not much sold...is sere - in your opinion - a general tendency in medal collecting? People are not willing to pay as much money as auctioneers think / want to have? Sis is very strange... -

Also look at se eagle of se fors medal...looks not genuine to me. Detlef -
Hello everybody, I want to show you a fantasy medal bar which I already saw twice for sale at se Kassel show. Beware of it because - sough all medals seem original - se combination is absolutely fake. Sere was never a German soldier receiving se Winter War medal 1939/1940. Take care at se next Kassel show. Hi @ all, found this on an internet platform...looks interesting, but also realistic and real? The following medals can be found (in German language): EK II Preußen DA Preußen Chinadenkmünze für Kämpfer Deutsches Reich Osmanische Lebensrettungsmedaille Freiheitskreuz Finnland Ein leeres Band möglicherweise für den türkischen Stern Kyffhäuser Medaille Kriegerbund What do you think? Regards Detlef

Hi guys, today I saw a nice group which was awarded to a veteran of the Baltic Division: on the medal bar there are some German medals and the Finnish Liberty medals 1st and 2nd class 1918 + "1918"-medal (medal of independance?). Besides this, there are three miniatyres from the three big Finnish medals from the bar and also the Helsinki medal + the Blue Cross. Helsinki medal is ok for me, but also the Blue Cross? Can somebody tell me if the Blue Cross was also awarded to Germans and how often? Never heard about a Blue Cross given to Germans before? Regards misiu

Finland German-Finnish medal bar with 9 decorations
misiu replied to misiu's topic in Northern European & Baltic States
Hugh, thanks for your answer. Could the possible owner still be tracked? I read about people in this forum who have lists of medals. I think the Finnish Liberty cross in combination with one or two not very common orders from the medal bar could make a research quite possible, or? Misiu -
Finland German-Finnish medal bar with 9 decorations
misiu replied to misiu's topic in Northern European & Baltic States
Yes, I think that he must have been German. Also the ribbon bar and small minatyre medal bar have the same order of predecence. I do not know why the "normal" order in this medal is "wrong". -
Hi collector-friends, enclosed you will find some pics of a medal bar. It has the following decorations (in German): Finland Liberty Medal Freiheitsmedaille 1918 Finland Liberty Cross w swords 3rd class 1918 Hindenburg cross Hamburg Hanseatenkreuz Schaumburg-Lippe Hausorden Kreuz 4.Klasse Sachsen Königreich Albrechtsorden 2.Klasse Preussen Kronen Orden 4.Klasse 3rd Reich KVK 2.Klasse 1939 without swords Iron cross 2nd class 1914 Is there a wizzard out there who can identify the former owner for my collector-friend. Why did the owner get a 3rd Reich cross without swords - maybe he was in a civilian job during 2nd world war? Thanks Misiu

Hi everybody, can someone help me to find out the name behind a Finnish SS-Cross? I do only have the number of the cross, but I have heard about a Finnish book which lists all men who served in the SS-divison? Regards Misiu
