    1. Hi Ronny ..With all the games (Fantasy medals etc) being played on collectors out there these days ..I was not sure if you knew that it was post war ..we have to be so careful

That site also said that they had a design (in 1942) for a wound badge but , because of the War ...they never produced it ..I wonder if yours is the one they designed.

Anyway ..Thanks for showing it ...it's a great looking badge and now that I learned about it ...I'll keep my eyes open for one as well.

    2. Have you ever seen one of these IRAQI Youth Uniforms before ? I hope you don't think that's a fake

I noticed you edited your post adding "Some real, most not" ..the Officer that gave me the Uniform with the fake Saddam boards told me it was a fake ...every Iraqi item I have was given to me so , no "market" involved , nothing was bought. The 2 Uniforms are not Jahnke repros ..I do think they have added insignia though .

    3. Hi Ed ...were you ref to the lampshade fringe comment or ..my bad joke about the color of the kids uniform ?

I've collected mostly WW2 German for 40 years and never really paid attention to any relics from other "conflicts" but ...I know that years from now these items will be in demand.

    4. Hi Gents ...A friend of mine just came home from "The Sandbox" and gave me this Uniform ..he knew it had fake Saddam shoulder boards on it when he bought it but , he said the rest of the uniform is correct ..luckily they didn't glue the medals on it. See how both medals have the same ribbon ?

Look at the lamp fringe they put on the boards ..

    5. Thanks Gordon ...I'm very happy with it and , I hope it's the first of many for me(nice to dream huh?)

The 1939 font looks like the style used on the EK's ...I have a feeling it's an early style S&L RK because the early Juncker had thin numerals as well . Maybe they decided to make the date bolder the same way they decided to make the EKll larger early on. Maybe someday a document or explanation will surface .

      Glad I got it !!

      thanks again beer.gif
