These have not been PRINTED yet. We are trying to get the number of definite orders in ADVANCE because the printings will be extremely limited and it is easier to know we will have 30 or 40 sold and print that many than have 20 printed but 40 wanted. It may well be years before second editions come out.
Being Poor But Honest Scholars we are seriously under-capitalized and do not have the funds to have 100 of each (there are DOZENS of rolls being worked on) pre-paid and lying around (like my friend Neal O'Connor did with his WW1 aviation awards books) to sell off 1 at a time.
Work is progressing. Yesterday I was able to add 100 birth years, 27 death years, and 41 first names to the 43 that had none in the 111 Wilhelmskreuz mit Krone X awards, for instance:
we are adding LOTS of extra added research value to these never published before rolls.
Oh boy, oh boy!!! I can't wait to see the rolls for the EK I and EK II !!!! You are going to do these, right? R.

One lone Offizierstellvertreter has turned up-- but he was a pilot and ...
And he was Offz.Stv. Willy Eckardt? Correct? R.

What "die flaw?" Draw arrows.
The engraving looks like "Leutn. vZiegesar"
which would be ?? either HANS of Gren Rgt 101 or JOACHIM of J?ger Baon 12-- but I have no information that either of them was a flyer.
Thanks Rick. That would be Joachim, a fighter pliot with Jasta 15 among other units, R.

Jaba1914, Is that a name engraved on the back of the Pilot's badge?
Can you make it out (the pin is in the way in your pic).
Thanks, Rick

Sure, sign me up for one each. I may be able to pull out more aviation names/units. Thanks, Rick

Rick. At least now the airship recipients will be added to their winged aviation comrades.
Good deal R.

The only one I know FOR SURE is Ltn. Arthur Schoeller. Unit and date match.
A possible is Oblt. Hans-Joachim Siber. but I am not confident enough for you to engrave it in concrete.
Blumenbach I have, but also without first name. Hoffmann - too many.
Sopp and Zauner are new (which is why I am looking forward to the fruits of your research). R.

Can hardly wait to see what aviation awards you can come up with, that aren't covered in Neal's 7 volume set. R.

Black Wound Badge for wound received 22 March 1916 = at (H?)alancourt
Malancourt. R.

I'll have a flip through the aviation casualty list, but since there is no INDEX and the wounded are shown chronologically, sifting through the entire war on the off chance he was wounded in air rather than ground combat is quite time consuming.
Oh, boo-hoo . You have no idea how hard it was to even include this list. R.

Well, thanks to Borrmeister, who cites the case of Kleinschmidt, . . .
Speaking of Hptm. Kleinschmidt, does anyone know his first name?? And a possible service record?? I only know that he commanded Z VI from 1.8.14 to 6.8.14 when it was destroyed. And that he died as a Major on 13.10.20. Perhaps Rick Research ?? Thanks, R.

L-58 per the Honor Rank List and the MOV's account of airship officer assignments.
Yes, agreed. sorry, the L 58. Hey sometimes the fumble fingers type and sometimes they just fumble. R.

I think the document is fine. I certainly can't speak to the badge, er - stick pin. R.

Der Ritt has listed the following document and stickpin for sale...
Questions:
1. Does anyone know who signed this?
2. Did this individual replace Strasser as Fuhrer d.L. ?
This citation to addressed to Oblt.z.S. (Alfred) Liesmann, formerly an XO (Watchoffizier) aboard the L 56 and L 64. It is signed by Korvettenkapit?n Paul Werther, the F.d.L. and successor to Strasser. Source: "The Zepplin in Combat" by Dr. Douglas Robinson. R.

Good question, Rick. I haven't done the research yet as I picked it up recently...
Keep me in mind, thanks, R.

John,
More importantly (at least to me), have you been able to discover Berger's first name? R.

Hi Rick, be careful what you ask for.... he'll probably end up indexing this six-ways from Sunday!
That's OK - I'll take it R.

I would love to see the aviation winners, especially as 'units' appear to be given. Perhaps you can arrange a NO'C Vol. VIII R.

Now it will be up to Evil Ricky's Aerodrome pals to find WHICh one flew--
Oh, sometimes the Aerodrome guys actually stoop to come here . I have Ltn. Paulus Graf von und zu Hoensbroech (O) and Vzfw. Wirth (P), as being with AFP 13 in June 1917. which tells me nothing about which front unit they may have been assigned to. BUT, it is Paulus. R.

FWIW, he is given in the Zickerick listing as compiled by von Eberhardt as just Ltn. Gottfried Narr, (not Ritter von). R.

Nor anyone else But, hey, I'm not greedy. I'll settle for all the aviation receipients, their full name, unit and date! Hee-hee. R.
