Thanks for this, Laurence. I'll add them to the Manchukuo section of the OMSA database. (We have a standing agreement with Liverpool.)

Yes, Jim. Sounds like someone else read Owain's JOMSA article. Hoping he'll chime in with more information.

It is my assumption that the Manchukuo/Manchuguo (I assume that is what you refer to?) awards were made in Japan, except a few semi-official ones that seem to have been locally made. I have always assumed that the Manchuguo Red Cross medals were Japanese-made too. Paul?

The Nuth Al-Amin / Security Medal. Don't know about the "National Guard" business, though. Don't have much on the conditions of award for this one. Owain??

What would be the difference between a fair price in-country (Serbia), as opposed to a fair price outside?

Pyotr Semenovich Chernyakhovsky got his per 14 September 1981. Nice actual rubber stamp of the Presidium of the Russian SFSR-- first award booklet for one I've seen
-- like a DECORATION's book. Filled out 5 November 1981.

Thanks, Albert for the better scan, and sorry to hear of the circumstances under which you are cutting back your collection. Seeing the scan of the serial number, I have to say I see nothing wrong with the serial number (just problems with the earlier image) or the Sukbaatar. Anyone looking for a good one?

Interesting. These novelty non-coins are often over-the-top curiosities. This one is no exception.
