Sad news. The medal mounting and ribbon making gentleman in New Delhi used by me and by many of us, directly or indirectly, has passed away. A true gentleman and craftsman of the old school he will be missed.
A moment oif silence, please.
This leaves me with many "naked" groups I had not wanted to post until they were properly garbed.
I shall post a few, on and off, as I can.
JC-48211 Subadar Kartar Chand, Signals
1- Paschimi Star - "JC 48211 SUB K CHAND SIGS"
2- Sangram Medal - ""JC 48211 SUB KAHTAR CHAND SIGS
3- Samniya Seva, Jammu-Kashmir - "JC-48211 SUB. KARTAR CHAND, SIGS."
4- 25th Independence - "JC 48211 SUB KARTAR CHAND SIGS"
5- 20 Year - "JC-48211 SUB. KARTAR CHAND, SIGS."
6- 9 Year - missing
An interesting all-Subadar group?

So true, like those pretending to be "patriots". There are more than enough legitimate tales.

And, while this scan may not work due to the robust structure of the pin, here are the reverses (1 / 2 / 3). The second class is Neumann's.

All have their ribbon bars, though
and, having these out, I see significant differences -- things that I/we need to look/think more about?

And, since it is here, a sad, single, documented, uncased third class, Bartel 8g (1974-??). Just to complete the "set" (not quite, but . . .).

While uncased, this one is documented (same caveats as before), to Wilhelm Katten, 1 May 1988. If (IF) these match, this can give us a revision to Bartel's dates.

Another 2nd class, but this a Bartel type 7i (1989).

This one is also cased and, very interestingly, documented, to Liane Neumann. While (being unnumbered) you can never be 100% sure that these match, this could place this badge to a 1 May 1984 award.

A second class, Bartel 7h (19??-89).

Wow, this thread died fast. Too fast. Here are a few of mine to breathe soime life back into it, I hope.
First class, Bartel type 6h (19??-89), cased but no document

Thats also an option. But I think that the UK deserves a own part because the large number of Uk visitors?
It has it and has, I think, had such a section since the inception. This is not so much reflecting the origin of the management or the visitors, I think, but merely accepts the broad-based and multi-national interest that exists in "UK" medals. This is not a level of interest, I might observe, that seems to exist for the "Low Countries". I would hope we avoid unnecessary forum proliferation.

Nice ones, Johnsy!
While some may differ, I like the current Australian medals.
Thanks for posting.

Yes, Lukasz has a good point!

Oh yes, very nice, and just a "simple" Glory 3!!
And you are also very lucky to have gotten some research!

Super, Owain!
As sub-forum moderator, I think just a forum acknowledgment would be fine. You might ask Nick, though?

Hi Ed Haynes,
With regard to your man in post #6, is that an Order of the Red Banner for Military Valor, he?s wearing?
Wild Card
Yes, WC, that's it.

C'mon, the new, hormone-infused USA OWNS THE WORLD. How could you have missed that, Rick?

You may have beaten us, Christian?

Things are running really, REALLY slow just now. I have been told that by June the backlog should be cleared, so you may wish to postpone until then.

Shall do so when I am done scanning

Regarding this group, a friendly forumite has suggested a reading of the name as Nikolai Vasilyevich Bazhehahyok. How close is this.
Again, the group:

And one more, a senior lieutenant.
