C 07 -- The Best Shooter
The first marksmanship badge. (Though there is a reported and NIB "best shooter" variety of C 02?!)

C 15 -- Mongolian People's Army, "III"
This, too, suggests a similar badge with "I" and "II"?

C 16 -- Mongolian People's Army, "III"
This suggests the existence of a corresponding "I" and "II"??

C 17 -- Sportsman Soldier
This seems to have a class, "I"; does this imply the existence of a "II" and "III"??

Yes, I know well the market bias against civilian awards and toward military awards (two overlapping processes). But -- and I ought not raise this when I am away from my reference sources -- how much rarer than the Glory 1 is the Labor Glory 1?!

Just ONE year?! Wow.
Thanks, Christophe. A fun idea!

I have the accents and symbols I commonly use set in a MS word document with I open in another window when I need it. I then copy and paste from that document to my postings here (and elsewhere). Font limitations of Windows restrict what I can do (no Hindi, no Urdu, no Arabic, no Pashto, no real Mongolian either in Cyrillic or bichig , etc.).

And a nice early Nevsky, nice photo, thanks!

Risking overstaying my welcome, one more, others can come if desired or needed.
People's Democratic Republic
Order of the Star
Directly parallel to the Soviet Order of Glory. One would be awarded the third class, and then successively promoted to second or first classes. The award was founded 24 December 1980 in these three classes.
This order was awarded to military men, includinng volunteers, exclusively for personal bravery, courage and fearlessness in combat conditions, for excellent organization and realization of combat operations, for enticing the opponent into a defeat, for outstanding activity in increasing the fighting capacity of the armed forces. The medal could also be awarded to foreign citizens.
The first class is all gold, the second class gold and silver, and the third class all silver. All are numbered on the reverse with the number of the class. I have never seen a numbered award, including some that friends showed me mounted in their own groups.
Two varieties exist:
-- 1980-87 -- with book below the national arms on the obverse
-- 1987-92 -- with no book below the national arms on the obverse.
Here's what lives with me with, obviously, a "hole"
.

I wonder what kind of labor she did to get such a group!
Hairdressing??
Seriously: Nice group, though, with considerable research possibility. But the price. Oy!!
