case color is a curious shade of green-blue-grey. it doesn't look this grey in person. i like to compare this shade of green to the old mercedes color, "petrol".

here's a zinc silver grade

the core material looks like velvet that has been worn completely down to the base. i'm not by any means an expert on cloth eks, but i do like the overall aspects of this example; particularly the use of several types of bullion wire.

this is what i got after a few minutes with a q-tip and water. based on the deepness/sharpness of the indentation, i'm inclined to think that is indeed a proofmark.
