Hi,
I borrowed this pic of a makers mark from the book of Somers. Which maker was "RB"?

Very nice to see some original and awarded medals in real gold.

The inlay doesn't looks like for an EK2. There is even a gap in the middle for the pin and the hinge.

I think thats normal for California, but not for Germany. They call it already the "summer of the century" here.
Btw. I have a lot of material about shells, fuses etc. from WW1, but nearly nothing about shell cases and their size. If someone here is reading this, who has more informations, please let me know. I only have infos about the "basic" and most common types (Feldkanone, Haubitzen, M?rser etc.). Thanks!

Still have to laugh about it.
The "cooker" arrived btw. and it is really old but still interesting. As soon as the "Alte Armee" civilian section will habe a barber, I will give it to them.

Of course you are absolutely NOT boring with your questions! Ask as much as possible, this is not the german
"Militaria-Fundforum".
Hope I am not too boring with my questions.
This photo from today's fleamarket bears a question for me:
I think the officer at the right is a mountain-trooper of 1st WW.
Details:
My questions:
Why does he have NCO-Tresse on his collar and shoulderboards for a Leutnant. He's also waering an officer's buckle.
Is that a "T 1" on his boards and what does it mean ?
As always, thanks very much for Your time and infos.

Very interesting picture of the bavarian Telegraphen-officer! And thanks to Rick for showing the difference between the "Uffz-Litze" and the bavarian-Litze. I wonder which type of bayonet this officer is wearing. Very short and the scabbard looks strange too.

110 Fahrenheit? WOW! We have 100 here in Germany which is still too much.

I think you mean 16 cm. I would say it is a 15 cm Kanone from Krupp or Rheinmetall:

Nice to see an original one. I always loved the design of it with the anchor and chain.

16m? I need the inner diameter on top and the overall lenght.

Chevalier. Both have real good centers. The center of the right one has the Marianne and the flags on back extra attached, so 4 parts instead of 2!

2 x Officier and 2 x Chevalier. Is it possible to date these 4 french Legion d'Honneur? WW1, WW2, between the wars, after the 2. World War? Thanks!
