    1. It is a german "Gewehrgranate 17" or "ink pot", as it was called by the british. It is the german version of the french Vivien Bessiere rifle grenade, which can be fired with a life cartridge. It think it contains about 40 g of TNT.

      I've forgotten what this is exactly and how many grams of TNT are still inside but I think Jens said it is a French rifle grenade. Something he hasn't seen there before.

      What is it again Jens including how much TNT it has, was it 14g?

    2. And a german "Leichte Gasmine" I never saw before on the battlefield of Verdun. Note the strange "shoulders" under the fuze which identify it as a Gasmine. It is also longer than the normal HE mine and the forest workers marked it with a special color code!
