To respected Alexander Kuzmich on his 60th birthday from all the colleagues at Kiev VOKU (Voennoye Obschevoiskovoe Komandnoe Uchilische) (not sure of the two letter abreviation) M.V. Frunze. 7th November 1980.
What's the plaque on?
Two letter abbreviation "im" stands for "imeni" (named after), i.e. Kiev high school named after M.V.Frunze.
I'm nearly 100% sure that the plaque was initially glued to the cover of the binder that housed birthday congratulations from the recipient's colleagues.

And the photo the previous fragment is a part of.

In fact this photo was a part of the grouping of four photos sold on E-Bay but unfortunately I managed to buy only that one, three have gone to another collector...
I will post here a fragment of another photo (low resolution, directly from seller's page), maybe it could help in identifying an officer.

The photo itself depicting a field service with named participants. The photo was taken in Belgium.

Fragment of a group photo with a mysterious officer. Any ideas who could it be and what award he wears?

Thanks for clarification, Uwe!
Anyway I never doubted there were only 2 classes of the S.Adler - I just wrote that "8 variants of that badge" existed being based on "two basic grades, 1st and 2nd class".

Sergio, thanks for your post!
Any more ideas regarding that medal? Does everyone agree with Sergio?

Am I right in thinking there was no actual I & II Class Schlesisches Bewährungsabzeichen? Kevin in Deva.
Kevin, you are wrong. Moreover there were 8 variants of that badge - various additions to the two basic grades, 1st and 2nd class, namely
II. Stufe
II. Stufe mit Eichenlaub
II. Stufe mit Schwertern
II. Stufe mit Eichenlaub und Schwertern
I. Stufe
I. Stufe mit Eichenlaub
I. Stufe mit Schwertern
I. Stufe mit Eichenlaub und Schwertern.
The difference between 1st and 2nd classes of the Schlesischer Adler can be clearly seen on the photo I posted here:)

Thanks, Christer!
You've got it right - there's even no EK-2 and Hindenburgkreuz!

Close-up.
I assume this vet wears the following awards:
1. Die Verdienstmedaille in Silber (?)
2. Silberne Medaille "Fuer Treue in der Arbeit" or Medaille fuer Lebensrettung (?)
3. Kriegsdenkmuenze 1870/71 fuer Kombattanten with 4 battle clasps
4. Zentenarmedaille
5. Certain miniature (?)
Please have a closer look and let me know what are the two first medals to complete identification!

Yes, you are absolutely right. It seems to be a different badge, I failed to identify it and the image attached is just the closest to the original badge

Thanks for your replies, Lambert and Christophe!
I've got an opinion that an oval breast badge is a certain unofficial regimental commemorative badge. Unfortunately no idea of its name... Your opinion, gentlemen?
