    1. To respected Alexander Kuzmich on his 60th birthday from all the colleagues at Kiev VOKU (Voennoye Obschevoiskovoe Komandnoe Uchilische) (not sure of the two letter abreviation) M.V. Frunze. 7th November 1980.

      What's the plaque on?

Two letter abbreviation "im" stands for "imeni" (named after), i.e. Kiev high school named after M.V.Frunze.

I'm nearly 100% sure that the plaque was initially glued to the cover of the binder that housed birthday congratulations from the recipient's colleagues.

    2. Am I right in thinking there was no actual I & II Class Schlesisches Bewährungsabzeichen? Kevin in Deva.

Kevin, you are wrong. Moreover there were 8 variants of that badge - various additions to the two basic grades, 1st and 2nd class, namely

      II. Stufe

      II. Stufe mit Eichenlaub

      II. Stufe mit Schwertern

II. Stufe mit Eichenlaub und Schwertern

      I. Stufe

      I. Stufe mit Eichenlaub

      I. Stufe mit Schwertern

      I. Stufe mit Eichenlaub und Schwertern.

The difference between 1st and 2nd classes of the Schlesischer Adler can be clearly seen on the photo I posted here:)

    3. Question No.2 regarding one medal that I'm still unable to identify.

      Awards:

      1. EK-I

      2. Schlesisches Bewährungsabzeichen 1.Klasse ohne Schwertern

      Medal bar:

      1. EK-II

      2. Bayern. Militär-Verdienstkreuz 2.Klasse mit der Krone und Schwertern

      3. ???

      4. Preussen. Verdienstkreuz für Kriegshilfsdienst

      5. Schlesisches Bewährungsabzeichen 1.Klasse ohne Schwertern

      Thanks in advance!

    4. Close-up.

I assume this vet wears the following awards:

      1. Die Verdienstmedaille in Silber (?)

      2. Silberne Medaille "Fuer Treue in der Arbeit" or Medaille fuer Lebensrettung (?)

      3. Kriegsdenkmuenze 1870/71 fuer Kombattanten with 4 battle clasps

      4. Zentenarmedaille

      5. Certain miniature (?)

Please have a closer look and let me know what are the two first medals to complete identification!
