Here's another question concerning identification of WW1 German generals. Could you please be so kind to tell me who are these bearers of high orders? Can't solve this problem by myself neither my colleagues can...

I have more question ahead so if there are no objections I'll keep on asking

Here's the last fragment of that photo.
Heiko hinted this could be Feldwebel-Leutnant or Offiziers-Stellvertreter because of the type of his medal bar which is in fact the one used by NCOs.

General close-up. It seems one of the orders he wears is Bavarian Militär-Verdienstorden Kreuz 2.Klasse mit Krone und Schwertern. Am I right?

Here's a scan of the backside. Can youlet me know what's written there? All I can make out is "...Gedenktag am 13.Okt. 1929 (Walter (?) Kettenmayer mit ... und futterl.)".
In the meantime it seems the name could be "Lettenmayer" as well...

Hello, everyone! I'm new here but I'm collecting photographs for several years already.
Could you please help me in identifying this Bavarian general and providing maximum info regarding his companion? Thanks in advance!

That's because it is using local German typeface. It's not Cyrillic.
The Germans did the same thing with Iron Cross documents in occupied France 1914-18.
Thanks for an explanation, I've never seen such documents before. Only locally made docs...
I'M new to this Forum but anyway please feel free to ask me if you need documents' and other artefacts' translation from Russian to English!
