The same fake coming in again....

can someone post the pic? I have not yet figured out how to since they changed it.

Here is the photo, again the same gibberish signature from other Ebay member.

As for clondyk59 indeed a fool, or a decoy that he wanted to raise the bidding,I cannot imagine that you send to someone a warning with a link with the discussion of his purchase and still no answer, so I can only imagine the motives behind this winner.

But enough I think , it is his problem.

    2. Emanuel,

This serbian bar is really superb !! :jumping:

But, why is the french awrd in second position ? Shouldn't it be in 4th ?

      Cheers.

      Ch.

Seems Serbian guys was very proud of the recognition of their French allies and Croix de Guerre had a high value for their contribution in WW1.

And by that I mean also the authorities as its was by law regulated what you wear where on a medal Bar (more or less, of course you always have exeptions from the rule).

Thus, from the rare examples of Medal Bars that I saw with Croix de guerre, French cross comes after the Orders, first of all the war crosses, even I saw a picture of King Alexander I wearing his Croix de guerre after Orders and Milos Obilic bravery medal and then the rest of the medals (some 7-8).

Also General Zivojn Misic was wearing his Orders and Breast II class orders and from medals, proudly only his Croix de Guerre.

From all these, I can imagine, what this cross ment to them back then, they wear their French Cross very proudly....

    3. Emanuel,

That is a great looking bar; 1st Serbian bar w/CdG I've even seen!

Thanks for adding this one to the thread!

      Tim

      Thanks Tim,

I saw your contribution too and I said we need something more to add here, a medal Bar with a Croix de Guerre I thought was a good addition wink.gif

    4. Nice crosses from all and great work from Tim B to show the variations and his examples, really stunning.

But what about some Medal Bars with Croix de guerre?

I never saw a French one, but from the other hand I own one from a Serbia trooper.

French and Serbian Divisions fight next to each other in Thesaloniki front as it's known.....

As this cross is bought directly from Serbia, with the rest of the medal Bar, but without the Karageorge Gold Bravery star which is expensive so I got one on another Bar and here is only for reference, it is good to see that Croix de Guerre who have been awarded to Serbian troops are the1914-1918 variation.

I saw 3 of them from Serbian troopers and all of them are this variation, so it's good for someone that make a research in the future to know about this detail.

      But,enough talks, let's enjoy the Bar now....cool.gif

    5. Yes paja,

as you said it's an unused High Officer epolete but without the 4 crack stars and the metal part.

These epoletes was used from Serbian-SHS and after that Yugoslavian Kingdom army from 1920-1939.

There were influenced from Russian Empire's Military style (before that and from 1861-1882 Serbian Officers and Underofficers had epoletes influenced by Austrian Army) from 1882 until, as you know, the begining of Communist era in the Country.

    6. Pozdrav Pajo druze moj biggrin.gif

Thank you for your good words.

Despite the fact that you have a broken Star here, it's still very rare, Arthus Bertrand Mark maker Karageorge IV class.

You had to see this version you got without crown above 2 head Eagles in Mint condition, astonishing....

Nevertheless, family item as you said and you are proud I am sure about it as you had to be a real fighter, even among Officers to get it...

      I like it a lot.

      Cheers Paja beer.gif

    7. Greetings to collector family,

It was a great shiny day today and I manage to take some pictures of my Serbian Medal Bar of a very Brave guy.

The Elite of all Brave awards in Serbia Kingdom , Karadjordje Gold Star of Bravery 1914-1916, dominate in this Bar , made from Arthus Bertrand.

Also among the medals, a rare example of Military Merit medal made by Mark maker Christlbauer ( 5th from the left).

I hope you like this very rare medal Bar ;)

    8. And here it is!!! at last!!

As Milan said, it's not actually a catalogue but a Book - research on Decorations,Orders and medals from Kingdom of Serbia, Kingdom of SHS and later Kingdom of Yugoslavia.

About 2.000 pictures, for 600 decorations until 1941 in a Book that weights almost 4 kgs!!

I got my first Copy in Croatian language as you can see from the photos below and I have to say it is a serious work, with marvelous pictures at 1:1 ratio, with Medal Bars included also a lot of pictures of Officers and members of the Royal families with their decorations.

In short, it worth every penny of your money.

I warmly reccomend it to all.

    9. The funniest thing is that they deny this to awards and medals , but stamps, coins books and other crap are there with full swastika's and Hitler's face.

Did you ever make a search about stamps to see them? These got the "green" light to get into an auction while medals are the "black" sheeps of the family.

I cannot imagine why they do not accept the simple rule that these things represent collectable things and nothing more than that?

      Sad stupid rule, no doubt.

    10. Sorry for the late reply,

your cross is original, but without a mark maker, price is falling as you can imagine.

I will say 70-75 euros for this cross.

I can take a guess about Mm because photos are not the best, so I think it's Steinhauer and Luck or Gustav Bremmer.

    11. Greetings Hugh,

Post No6: Breast Star 1st class Order of St.Sava 3rd type.

Mark maker Huguenin, given between 1921-1940

Post No10:Actually is Order of Takovo the name....

Post No11: Translation of the inscription "Peter I- King of Serbia"

Post16: It is scarce yes, more than 200$ a piece...

Post20:It says "za revnosnu sluzbu" it is just cyrillic and you cannot read them easy.

Hope it helps you a little.

PS:Take out the stickes,I see the medals and my heart is bleeding...

      Best regards

      Emanuel

    12. Alex, great pieces in Superb condition!!

      Congrats.

      @Milan,

In time to time I visit the side,I have to say unique of it's kind.

Did you ever consider to make a catalogue at least for the Orders for a start in PDF?

It will be a great job and we can all help with extra photos and such.
