    1. Dave and Antonio. Many thanks for the helpful advice and interesting link. The cover of the publication certainly has a depiction of a similar image to the badge. I assume we think this suggests it may relate to the BAL? Many thanks, kind regards, Malcolm.
    2. Hello everyone. I would like to ask if any Forum members can offer an opinion on the following helmet badge which has been offered to me. It has been suggested that it might have been worn by a member of the British Auxiliaries Legion during the 1st Carlist War in Spain which lasted from 1833 to approximately 1840. Numerous English volunteers served in these wars. Many of their badges were apparently made in England, belt plates and shako plates in particular and this is almost certainly an English product. I am told it was once part of the J. R. Gaunt & Sons Pattern Book Archive which was sold at auction. It is a die-struck piece (8.5 x 9.5cm) in two parts, the central coat of arms sweated on to the laurel wreath at its base. The wreath is somewhat buckled on both sides and two of the three copper loops on the reverse are bent over. I hope to get better pictures later. Any help or opinions greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Malcolm. Well did not do well with this post. Sorry not sure what went wrong with heading or text. Apologies. Here are the photos.
    3. I would like to locate the Memorial Scroll awarded to Lieutenant Charles Service Workman MC, RFC. It is know to have survived and at one time was referenced on the Great War Forum Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Malcolm.
    4. Hello Gunnar, Thank you very much for the extremely interesting and helpful reply. It is greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Malcolm.
    5. I forgot to mention that I am also keen to learn of any biographical details of Tuxen. Kind regards, Malcolm.
    6. Would any Forum member know how I might identify what decorations/medals Ltn. R. Tuxen would have been awarded. He served as a fighter pilot 1916/18 and at one time flew with Jasta 6. I believe his first name was either Robert or Rudolf Although I imagine this to be an impossible task, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Malcolm.
    7. Hello. I have them. Let me have a name. Kind regards, Malcolm.
    8. Hello Bison, Many thanks for your help. It is much appreciated. Kind regards, Malcolm.
    9. Hello Everyone, I would like to learn when the Legion d'Honneur illustrated below was issued. If any Forum member can help with an attribution, I would be extremely grateful. I have little knowledge to offer myself, and therefore am hoping that it might be 1st Empire! However reality suggests that it is more likely to be of later manufacture? I wish to thank, in advance, any Forum member who offers to help. Kind regards, Malcolm.
