There are a number of officers with exactly this combination so the ONLY way without a signature is to see what regimental number is on his shoulder board. Even then, several officers in the same regiments together had the same combination.

I?ve this pic of Generalleutnant Georg von Gersdorff with officers of his 58. Infanteriedivision.

I think the men left and right of him are also wearing the Kommandeurskreuz II. Klasse of the MSHO. But who they are ?

Possible could be Oberst Max von Hopffgarten, Oberstleutnant Kurt von Sch?nberg and Oberstleutnant Gustav Freiherr von Bodenhausen.

Could it be Alexander Gl?ser ?

Who was the last living recipient of the St.Henry ?

At the moment I?ve Friedrich Filzinger, who died on 21.08.1984.

At the moment the pic is availible at Ebay. The seller says in his describtion:

"Offizier mit IOD,EKI u.II,Heinrich"

I think with "Heinrich" he means the St. Henry, but this is not right.

Krantz got his Ritterkreuz on 15.10.1914 at the beginnig of the war as an Major. At the end of the war he was awarded with the Kommandeurskreuz II. Klasse on 19.07.1918, but again as an Major.

At first I?m searching a good pic of Martin Freiherr von Oldershausen. He was the first who was awarded with the Kommandeurskreuz II. Klasse of the MSHO. He was also awarded with the Pour le merite.
