Hi,
The shield piece on the reverse looks to be czarist. Although modified shield and I cant make out the letters placed in the shield or the wording on the bottom..

Hi,
Never seen anything like it..
Maybe some kind of private piece, not military service.
the long service award is simply a folded st george or st vladimir ribbon superimposed with a buckle with the appropiate amt. of years in roman num. in a wreath.

One thing that occurs to me is that the eBay example, if real, is worth a lot more than the $7 that the seller is asking for an opening bid. Seven bucks?!
Come to think of it, I believe I have seen one or two on eBay in the past. I didn't bother doing a search of closed auctions this time. Wonder what I'd find. I'm curious about the stamp in the bottom of the current one.
Chuck
Hi Chuck,
The start price is $99.00 shipping is $7.00
These have come up quite regularly lately on ebay.
Ive tried to get one every so often, but always out bid.
they go from between 250.00 and 500.00.
I looked for an example of the copies but must have been over a month ago.
They come Boxed with a flyer about the coronation.
Yours look fine to me, but the ebay one not too sure. I have never seen any with marks on the bottom..

Theres no one easy answer to these questions..
Imperial russian order persentation was very complicated
The Idea was to become a Knight in each order.
Years of service to receive an order had a lot to this.
St andrew being the highest you would need 42+ years of service to become eligible.
So that being said the awardee would more that likely already have to lower awards.
And St George was in its own catagory..
