Hi Michal,
Both of your eagles have come from Pilots boards.
Its hard to tell if these are originals. but they should have a blackened finish.
Nice eagles.

I have collected russian badges for a few years now, and have never run accross an original issue case for these.
I'm not talking about Orders. Just the school and regiment type badges and such.
If anyone does have a case in there collection please post some pics.
Thanks

I cant seem to find nice originals here in the US.
Lots of museum copies around, but the prices are out of line.
Can you tell us what branch of service its from?
Thanks

The following is taken from the letter of authentication that I received from the seller. he is the son of a war criminal and livs in South and central America.
"This letter is to authenticate the origins of the 1941/1942 Campaign Medal awarded to participants in the Winter Moscow campaign of 1941/42. This particular medal is crafted in 18K gold and was awarded to only a select few of the recipients. My father, ,,SS? ObersturmbannFuhrer Joachim Stuletki, received this medal for his leadership and participation as a line officer assigned to the Sonderkommando 4a, of Einsatzgruppe C, Russia 1941-42.
For his actions with Einsatzgruppe C, my father was placed on Simon Wiesenthal?s list of SS officers wanted for war crimes. My father and I escaped to Bolivia in 1946 and I have lived in Guatemala and the Canary Islands since 1957. As far as I know, my father?s name remains on Wiesenthal?s list."
it's ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests

Hallo Gents
Out of curisoty I sent the sellers a message via ebay and asked who there experts were, the following is there reply:
"Hello KAR and thanks for your time and interest,
This item comes from the personal collection of a man named John Korompilas out of Folsom, CA. He is a traveling memorabilia dealer who hits at least 30 shows across the United States a year and sells professionally at these shows.
Other buyers of ours in the past recognize his name and have had nothing but positive things to say about him. We have done business with him for years ourselves and have never had any questions in regards to his integrity.
Other badge dealers have come by the store to personally view other items of his (we have sold dozens of rare badges, patches and other memorabilia totaling nearly $20,000 in the past 12 months) and have never said anything other than that the badge is authentic - we've even had some independently verified as original by other professed 'experts'.
Furthermore, due to the fickle and finicky nature of this badge business, we always offer a 100% money back guarantee with any items that we sell of his upon his insistence. So if you or anybody else were to purchase this badge or any other piece of war memorabilia and decide within 7 days that you did not want it, we'd be happy to refund the full purchase price upon return of the item.
Anybody who would like to speak in person about this badge is welcome to call our toll-free phone number clearly stated in our listings for more information. Hopefully that answers your question - if you have any more, please feel free to ask. Best of luck and happy holidays! Regards - Paul.
Any comments Gents,
Kevin in Deva
I know Of John K. He sells lots of questionable items..

Hi Andy
I would leave it as is and try as stated to perserve what you have.
there is a layer of laquer over the brass and the stencil is on top of that coating.
so if you were to try and clean the patina of the brass you would destroy both.
