Hi Barry,
Thanks for all the info.
I have removed the eagle from the above badge.
Here are a couple pics close up.

I have removed the added on eagle.
It was only glued into place.
This revealed 4 mounting holes to the Violet blue enamel center.
From what I can research on the internet this would make the Royal Order or Cambodia Star the best match.

Let me know what you think
Thanks

Heres a picture of a center of a Breast star.
Looks like a napoleonic eagle with lighting bolts in the talons.
Is it a French eagle?
Thanks

I found three French orders colonial/protectorant.
Order of St Faustin
Many differences in the style of star etc.
the other two
Royal order of Cambodia
and
order of the Dragon of Annam.
Both would have had the centers replaced by the eagle.
Sorry about the quality of pics, copied off computer screen.

HI
I have all the backups of the photos and looks like nothing has been deleted from my PB account just moved and the links lost.
Hopefully i can just move the files back to the correct folder file and the links can be restored.
Wish me luck!

Looks alot like the Order of the Dragon of Annam, with the center being different.
Could it be a fabrication?

Ensign of the Western front graduation badge.
With the world economy in the tank prices have really taken a turn south.
I would guess $500.00 to $900.00 US.

I'll go out on a limb and say the order with swords would outrank the order without and only one ribbon would be worn.
This is the way the russians would deal with it.
I hope this helps.

Good question.
The Imperial russian did not wear ribbon bars.
The wear of foreign orders for british officers I dont know.
3rd class with or without swords were worn on medal bar
2nd class order was a neck order
and first class was a sash order.
I dont recall seeing a russian officer wearing both with and without swords of the same class at the same time.

Hi,
The Hammer and wrench is the insignia for Technical schools.
Your insginia looks to be for attachment to shoulder boards.
