Hello gentlemen,

this is the newest medal in Germany.

The german Minister of Defence Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg gives 15 soldiers on 25.11.2010 the new medal.

It is called the "Einsatzmedaille Gefecht"

The soldiers can get it, if they are in a "battle" in a foregin mission - for example afghanistan.

Ribbon is the same as for mission medals.

I will upload a few pictures.

if it is the "silver getting dark problem" than you can clean it with a peace of leather.

Take the same REAL-LEATHER! itmes for cleaning the windows.

It should be dry, than the tarnishing comes off.

In my opinion it is a replica.

I hvae contact to the mission:

EUFOR RD CONGO

EUTM SOMALIA

these where the last missions.

The medal and the clasp are (official) only in silver.

The different ribbon means:

With grey "Planning and Support"

With yellow "Headquarters and Forces"

So in my opinion it is just a fake - or some "gift" for collectors.

are you sure that it is a miniature? So it should be arround 16 mm.

Because of the neddle, I think it is a full size decoration.

United Nations Korea means 9 blue stripes. Thats a fact.

But on the ribbon bar i count 8 blue stripes.
