My sources have Leutnant Fuchs, of Stab - III. Abteilung - Gebirgs-Artillerie-Regiment 85 (101. Jäger-Division), listed as Karl Fuchs .
Now, Kurt is close to Karl, so it could be a mistake (in my source). I will do some more research.
WW2.Awards.com list Karl Fuchs DKiG as Oberfeldwebel 2/ Jagdegeschwader October 24, 1942
WW2 Awards.com list Kurt Fuchs DKiG as Leutnant III Artillerie regiment 85 April 28, 1944

I finally received a different set of photos showing the rivets on the DKiG. Does this help in determining whether a fake or not?

I'd ask for some clearer pictures of the rivets from behind. A little dark and they don;t seem to be what you would normally expect. The pin looks like a replacement.
Other than that it looks promising.
Again, these are a large investment. Always be sure before spending the money. He does offer a 7 day return policy, but I've never heard of him so I can't comment on whether he's a straight shooter or not.
Finally received a different photo of the rivets. Does this alter your opinion?
Also, I was invited to a collectors home on Tuesday of this week. He has one of the most amazing collections of military items I have ever seen. The high point, and there were many, was when he brought out a Knight Cross with oak leaves, swords and diamonds. he just bought it from a vet who found it during WW2.

Hi mate, you gotta be careful with the Klein's.
Before you buy, I would ask for some much larger pictures. These type are faked to pretty high standards.
Again, thank you, I may just give up until I know a lot more on the subject. The following is what I know of the seller, you might know of him.
Web site with larger pictures of the DKiG: http://www.fallschirmjager.biz
Seller: Mike W. Grant
EMail: Mike.W.grant@btopenworld.com
Telephone: 07802-425911

Darrell was kind enough to advise me on the “Dotted Date” DKiG I posted. Because of his expertise, I have decided not to complete the purchase. Since that time I have found another DKiG being offered from a dealer in the UK. It is listed as a “134” Otto Klein and the asking price is $2500 usd. I have attached photos, any advice or recommendations, since I don’t have any experience with the DKiG?

Well .... to answer your question, there is still much controversy regarding this type of Zimmerman DKiG. The forums are plastered with accusations, theories and vendettas. At the end of the day it's your decision whether to buy or not. Likely the reduced price is due to the seller is finding it hard to sell it based on the aforementioned.
Thank you for your reply, could you be more specific about the 'accusations, theories and vendettas', I'm new at this and would like to learn.
Thank you again,
Cliff

I have attached a front view of the Cross on this posting, I will post a back view on another posting since the file is too big to upload
