    1. Here is an example of the Italian Order of the Crown (Officer) and the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus on the bar of Rittmeister Waldemar Bodenstedt, Adjutant of Husaren Regiment 13.

...and this is really an explicitly nice bar, not only for italian collectors. I would say this bar wakes longing...

      Best regards

      Matthias

PS: I do not know any halfway (Is this an English word ?) serious collection without at least one italian medal or order (Italy is everywhere :-)

    2. ...etui for a fourth class of the Sacred Treasure (the colour for the tazzles of the Sacred Treasure etuis are always purple), early etui - model for members of the diplomatic service and foreign recipients. The inscription is a special type of Kanji - so called "seal characters" (court style).

    3. Very interesting picture. Of course because named, but he is wearing the SC on the wrong side, and he doesn't wear his LC Pz Badge that he got during his turn in Spain . Do you want I move the second one into this thread ?

      jacques

...I think he is wearing the SC on the wrong site only for the photo. He has never received the LC Pz Badge, because Karl Wald was assigned as as a car - driver (among others for Admiral Canaris), Pz.Rgt 5 in this time. Yes, please move the other (Karl Wald here Pz.Rgt. 8) picture in this thread...

Here a pic of Karl Wald "at work" in Africa, El Alamain (Tank Commander of a type IV tank):

    4. ..and here is another one...

      FW Karl Wald

      Panzerregiment 8

Personal driver of Admiral Canaris (operational area Vinaroz - Valencia) in Spanish Civil war.

      Best regards

Sorry because of the size limitation for "newbies" some details may be not good enough...thats the result of the shortage..

    5. The W?rttemburg bar I listed has:

Long Service in first (out of order, but made that way!)

      Wilhelm's Cross with Swords

      Austrian War Ribbon with Swords

Flanders Cross with Swords (Veteran's piece)

      If I may correct you:

The ribbon you identify as "Wilhelm's Cross" (presupposed the basic color is really red -how it appears-) is the ribbon of the W?rttemberg Merit Cross, 1915-18.

      Best regards

      Matthias
