Saxons-- presumably son and father.
Pioneer Leutnant/Leutnant dR with SA3bX, SFAM, EK2.
Dad--oh for an Epson scanner! presumably a Colonel. Cannot make out what neck award(s) he has-- whcih would be the key to identifying BOTH of them.
Pinback Albert Order-Officer (peacetime, looks like), medal bar EK(combatant), Saxon War Effort Cross, SV3a peacetime, S XXV, BMV but can't tell if wartime or peacetime since upper part and ribbon overexposed, and ?M3K.
I would say that the neckaward is Sachsen-Weimars White Falcon with it's distinct loop ring.
Edit: A bit more obvious with the new scan.

Very interesting... who knows if one of these NCOs the one wearer of the medal bar in my collection is ( see: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=11870&hl=schwanz ). NCO had received his Sword's Order in 1909...
Ciao,
Claudio
How could I have missed that group! Supreme :speechless1:

It's definitely NCO's from F?silier Reg 34. You can vaugley see there honorbandeu on their pickelhaubes. If you sometime will consider selling it I would be very intrested as I try to collect anything related to the regiment. Here is an old thread with some of it. I'll try to update it some time.

And this one is on the way, and should be here tomorrow or Friday. The medals were arranged in the wrong order on the bar, so I have edited the photos so they are now correct (I will post actual updated photos when it arrives).
In everyones opinion, would you leave the damaged ribbon on the end alone, or would you somehow try to repair it?
Thanks!
Jason

As for the price you had to pay. Don't blame me, I wasn't bidding against you. I was off chasing roses...
Would that be of the Lippe kind?

BTW: Pardon my ignorance, what is "Glenns' 1870 EK2 list"? Is this a book? Can it be purchased? I would like to look up Johann Karl Blume of the 77th Hanoverian Regiment in the F-P war.
Thanks
Glenn offers it here

So who got the one on .de?
Has to be one of the nicest Godets I've seen, though the pictures might lie with this excessive light he used.

Officer's ulanka, tschapka and schirmmutze for Ulanen-Regt. Hennigs von Treffenfeld Nr. 16. The two piping colors (light blue and white) are unique to UR12 and UR16 vs. the single piping color on the remainder of the uhlan regiments.
Beautiful tunics.

You're right as usual, after a bit of thinking, I came to my senses and got on the right track.

That would be a award from waldeck and I would guess it's an merit medal.

What's your opinion on this sad little fellow?
Can't find any obvious flaws, except his little shortcoming.

The bar was already posted here http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=33113 . Maybe see if it could be moved here.

Here is a late one to this thread. Maybauer made war cross with screw- back. Medal is marked twice 925 cross plate is 500 and screw plate is 800. Private made piece. Feg1.
Didn't know that Meybauer ventured into other decorations.

Very edgy read on the last fellow. I find eugenics part highly interesting.
