could you post some circumference measurement please.
Is the eagle on the back holding a backwards swastika?
I don't know what this could be or attempting to be. (That doesn't mean too much as I am not as knowledgeable as many here.)

Yeah-a fantastic photograph.
This one is another wedding shot-someone on a destroyer no doubt.
Am I missing something. This sailor has a minesweeper badge. I don't see a destroyer badge.
A nice picture though.
Martin W. Quite a find. You seem to have some recent fortune finding photos from the HSK Stier.

Spectacular tally. Really in great condition; it will look nice with your Scharnhorst tally.
Glad to help.

Ok, Who was the one who was going to try to get the Unterseebootsflottille Wegener tally from me?
There was two of you? Hmmmm
Well, you can relax and know it is going to a good home.

Digging out this thread.
Just saw the catalog on page one, the black and white example. Pretty interesting. I noted that there was the LW Panzer Assault badge as well as the LW High seas badge.
Pretty interesting that those were '57 pieces issued for these awards. Have never seen an accepted TR period award like this. Wouldn't think it would be profitable for a manufacturer to produce these awards since there was not many who qualified for these awards.

Hi Guys,
Have been told this...
"Originally the U boat Denim Jackets were British Denim blouse captured after the fall of France in 1940 as the British Army left behind 1000s of unisssued Denims."
Is this true? If so in what year did they start issueing there own tunics or did they always use British ones?
This is from John Angolia's "Die Kriegsmarine Uniforms and Traditions" Vol2. Page 294.
This doesn't state when the supply of uniforms were available for the front line boats like the U-99 U-30 and others.
From reading books like Donitz's Crews, and Torpedo Los, and other wonderful examples. The U-boat commanders and crews were able to adapt their uniforms almost to what the boat captain or group commander allowed.
I'll bet that sailors probably continued to keep those French/british coats with a KM breast eagle on board and in their rotation.
Hope this helps.

since you are interested in the Schnellbooten Flottille, have you picked up a Marienschule Mürwik yet, CO training for the kleine hot rod Boots ? purchased this talley early last week.........
E ~
Haven't got one yet...
I have seen several examples. That Marineschle Mürwik I believe is probably one of the most popular tallies. In Gordon Williamson's "TORPEDO LOS" book, the Mürwik school is cited as one where many U-boat commanders passed through.
I would like to see your example Erich.

Here are some others. This is my last of the Torpedoboots, and the Horst Wessel, All USCG members here should look at getting one of these. It is now the USCGC Eagle.

I now have 2 more Admiral Graf Spee tallies. I upgraded.
The upper one was my first tally which I purchased from german ebay from a seller in Argentina.
The other two come from a German seller. One is 88cm long and the other is full length 156cm long.
