    1. I am new to this forum. I hope I am in the correct forum. A few years ago an acquaintance of mine passed away, likely in his late 70s. While he did not make his WWII experiences the main topic of our conversations, he did share with me the following over the few years I knew him through his volunteer work. His experiences were with the British Airborne, and he participated in action in Burma and Arnhem. He did parachute into the Arnhem area. Since the war, he became an engineer. At some point he came to Canada. He lived his last few years in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. He carried a personal calling card showing he had earned the honor of DSO after his name. Every now and then I think about this gentleman, and I have always thought it would be nice to see his name out there on the internet, on a master list of recipients. Wikipedia lists about 800 or so recipient names, but this gentleman's name does not appear on it. I'm fairly sure I remember "DSO" accurately. I am not sure if he received this honor for his service at Arnhem, or Burma or perhaps elsewhere. I wonder if this makes a difference - perhaps there is a separate list, or an official list posted by UK government which might be more accurate. Does anybody know of an official UK website that might have an official list of recipients? Any comments would be welcome. Sincerely, Charlotte in London, Ontario, Canada. Looking forward to spring tulips.
