Nice original JFS ISA in silver, not seen as often as the mint bronze variants from the hoard find some years ago. Stewy

The catch looks a bit like one seen on fake PKA's. I hope I'm wrong but for me there are a lot of red flags. Stewy

Hi Dan, I tend to think it is a replica. It doesn't look quite right for a die stamped award. Not a crisp enough strike, no shear marks around the edge in the pics. I'm not a WB expert (ISA's are my thing), but the wear points are odd & the dagger blades are fuzzy. Better pics when available will help. Stewy

Kev (hucks216) knows of a KVK doc to a Schneepflug soldier, but other than that nothing. So rare & unusual IMO. Stewy

Thanks for the reply Kev. It was something I thought may be a possibility. Stewy

Could the awarding of the DKiG be the reason for his transfer? Stewy

Not necessarily. If we can determine some of the letters we have a chance which is better than no chance.
Hi Kev, could it be Hauptmann Heinrich Fetzer? Stewy

Thanks Jock. I've got another group to Art. Reg 146, that didn't anywhere near as bad as this. I'll have to get round to posting it. Stewy

Mmm.... Yes indeed Jock. Not what you'd expect. Although, it was more common in Afrika than elsewhere. Kind regards, Stewy

Hi folks, thought you might like this. Heinrich Gottheil served with Schw. Art. Reg 621 they were equipped with a batterie of 10cm guns & two batteries of heavy Howitzers. It became part of Art. Reg 146 & fought in France, Italy & Hungary. He died of Dysentery on 21.9.42. He was awarded the Westwall medal & Ost medal. Stewy

Always nice to see a 100 SWB, Jock. Condition's not the best, but still. Congrats, Stewy

Thanks Jason, they're rarer & less faked than the silvers. There's at least two different finishes on these. The flat finish which this is & a lighter bronze shinier finish. Stewy

Sorry, I must agree with Jock. A cast fake & a poor attempt to boot. Stewy

It's an NKS unknown maker #1. Sometimes called the "six dot" due to the back plate fixing. Stewy
