Chris,
Great pictures. A great restoration as well Good job.
Mf wife objected when I tried to briing home a M1 Gerand. I can't
even imagion what she would say if I brought home a MG.
I can't complain too much--I do get away with hanging my daggers
and swords on the bedroom wall.
Thanks for sharing your MG with us.

Hi Greg, Godet? The star/loop looks like Godet?
It's unmarked and I do not own a Godet marked mini to compare to.
Maybe you could help me out with that problem

The RAO was the only other award I could think of that used
the Prussion style of Oaks.

I know we are always looking for that great deal at a flea market
or garage sale but let's face it, those days are pretty much gone.
There is a 1870 EK1 currently on a dealers site that is listed for over
$2000. There is no paper tail behind it and was not published in a book.
You might have paid a little on the high end of the scale for your EK but
it's not like you got ripped off. Besides that sometimes you just "gotta have it "

Hi Guys,
I have a buttonhole award that is missing parts.
The first ribbon I think would be for the 1870/71 service medal--is that right?
The 2nd place medal is confusing me. Would it make sence to have 2 long service awards?
Maybe a 10 or 15 year hanging next to the 25 year???????
Thanks for your help,
Greg

Thanks
I REALLY thought it to be Austrian. Too me the very back ribbon looks to be
the same style as the FJ cross only green and not red.
Does any one have a chart or something to use as a quick reference for Imperial
ribbons? Dave Danner has a great site for these but without any clue of which state
or country you are looking up-You can spend a lot of time there searching.
Thanks again for your help.

David makes a very good point concerning the ribbon.

That is a good looking set. Period non-combat EKs are always a nice find
and non-combat minis are not found all that often. Good score

Joe,
Dump the HP and get an Epson scanner. They handle 3D pieces
much better.
