This was being sold as a cast brass cross. I do not think it is brass .--There is no yellow
showing. Plus I do not think it is cast. I think it is die struck.
This scan shows the side of 1 of the arms. It shows lines that I think are
shear marks from being struck. All of the arms have these marks.

Here is a 1 piece EK2 that I just received and I would really some help with it. Any
and all opinions are welcome.----
The overall quality of this cross is very nice. The details are very sharp. It has the
look too me of the 1 piece EK1s that we attribute to the 1920s-30s. ( same style of
date and "W" however the crowns are close but slightly different.

Great small scale armour. Your detail is amazing considering the small size.

Dan,
You caught me. It's the story of my life--I could never afford the beauty queens so I
settle for 2nd or 3rd runner up.

You don't judge a book by it's cover.
What is ugly on one side----

Just a question------
Do we know any of the diiferent manufactures of 1870 EKs?
I know we have examples from Wagner and Godet and S-W but do we know any others?
I have a few 1870 EK2s and the only one I can attribute to a particular maker is
a Godet with the "short 7"

Hi Kjell,
Very nice ! Is the buttonhole with the 2 small EKs with the hanging Hindenburg
a new addition? I got out bid on ebay for one just like that just a couple weeks ago.

Very nice new additions. The 1870 with OAKS is great !

I've been told this is a hard to find Early life saving medal.
I do not know if it qualifies as "rare". Feel free to remove it if it
does not measure up.

Micha,
Very nice cross.
AWS liked brass. I have a twin to yours--even missing the back plate.
Mine is brass framed with an iron core. There is no evidence that it was ever plated.

WOW Great pictures
Marshall--In the few years that I have been reading the forums, this is the first time I
have seen you post a helmet. I think we would like to see some pictures of your collection.
