    1. Gents I just thought I would give a quick update on my progress with the Saar medallion. As you may recall I was sent a different piece than the one depicted on the Weitze website. After a few e-mails I was informed that I could "simply" mail it back for a full refund which would include all shipping charges back and forth. I was told to "mail it back registered airmail". I did just that on July 5 now 16 days ago. And you guessed it right if you said that it hasn't arrived yet! So this is where I stand in this matter so far. I have a 70 Euro charge on my credit card to Mr. Weitze. I gave $10.45 US to the postmaster to send it back. All I have to show for all of this is a Postal receipt. Happy Collecting? Have a nice weekend. Robert
    2. Another find and another dilemma. We enamelists need to compose a reference book WITH reverse images. Would any of you fine gentlemen be in possesion of one of these. I had it in my hand but the cautious one that I am balked because of its' lack of reverse markings. Would any one have theirs to show? Thanks for looking. Robert Number8001c page101 Husken 1997 GauMunchen-Oberbayern [attachmentid=46718]
    3. I would have went for that Kreisscheissen too as I see that both the front and reverse show honest and equal wear. The first thing I noticed was how the finish on the attaching pin has worn off in just the right places when it was worn. That is a nice piece sir.
    4. Don Correct Yhe same design except square. One was WHW 1944 with only the red eagle. The other was larger and rectangular/square with the black eagle and bullseye on the left and the red eagle on the right. Both were unmarked. I have his telephone so I might just take a gamble. The only problem is that he will only allow returns if I prove they are reproductions. Logic dictates that they are probably not but they could be fantasy. Thanks for your help. Robert
    5. [attachmentid=46152][attachmentid=46153]Pete A Blue Division donation badge is a first for me. How would that one be worn? Here is another one that I don't think has been shown yet. After all of these posts I have a hard time remebering what was shown. Aachen Jahnsportfest Standarte 25. Have a nice weekend. Robert
    6. Don I had 2 different badges in my hand but balked because neither were marked. They were both square in shape. One was for WHW 1944 and the other was abit larger with the Tirolian eagle in red enamel on the right and a blackeagle and target on the left. Neither were marked so I balked. I can't seem to even find them in Husken either. They were both square in shape but utilized the Tirolian eagle in enamel. Any one out there have either one of them? I know my descriptions are a little fuzzy but now I am only relying on memory form a few hours ago. Have a nice weekend. Robert
    7. Nice Joe Here is one I just acquired at a show. SA Brigade 54 Marschiert! Freiburg August 1936. Robert[attachmentid=46132][attachmentid=46133]
    8. [attachmentid=46130][attachmentid=46131] I am starting to be drawn to these shooting badges. I just picked this one up at a show I attended today. Standsschutzenverband Tirol-Voralberg 1940 I looked at a few others but passed on them because I wasn't sure how they were supposed to be marked if at all. Thanks for looking. Robert
    9. [attachmentid=46082] Sorry. Need to put it aside a more internationally known item for comparison. I wonder where this would have been worn. Robert
    10. [attachmentid=46080][attachmentid=46081] I have been after one of these for quite some time. I had never had one in hand and was I suprised when I opened the box and this tiny little bugger came out. Pre-RZM ST. & L. They are 63 correct? 9118j in Husken Any one else have an example to show. Have a nice weekend. Robert
    11. I have been studying our examples very carefully for the last few minutes. The pebbles in the red enamel appear identical as do the numerals. I don't understand the black swatika though. Eagle's frown identical too. Thanks for your help Robert
    12. Well I guess I will have to live with the black swastika. Everything else appears identical to your KK silver 1943. I just can't beleive I would let an obvious difference like that get by me. It showas a decent amount of age also. Do you know if the fakers have been at these at a great rate? Thanks Don Robert
    13. Don Upon closer inspection you may be right. Actually under the black I see a lighter colored silver. Tell me sir, is the reverse of your example marked the same as mine? I am very temted to ever-so-carefully try to scratch some more of the black. Thanks for showing. Robert
    14. Benten Thanks for showing the reverse. Have you ever considered transferring it to our database? It would make a nice addition. I sure wouldn't have wanted to be a viticulturist befor mechanization! Robert
    15. Very nice Mr. benten. Does that one have the pinched pin attaching style? I just thought I would give a status report on the medallion. I received an e-mail from the dealer who stated at first to just mail it back and he would send me another. Mind you, the one I saw was removed. I replied that I want to see what I am going to buy. To make a long story short I have mailed it back and he has agreed to pay all costs. Lets see what happens. I haved saved and photocopied his e-mail stating this. I will update again when it is completely resolved. Take care Robert
    16. I have just noticed that my example has a black enamel swastika as opposed to the others shown. Does anyone have any others to show? Robert
    17. [attachmentid=45975] Gents A recent arrival to post before it goes in the Riker box. !943 small caliber in silver. Although hard to see in scan, the pin attaching plate is marked C. Polleath. Good Day to all Robert
    18. Ralph Are you serious? The medallion was 50 Euros and the FED EX delvery by car down my driveway to hand deliver it was 20 Euros. If you have interest you can send me a PM. I am still waiting for a reply from my e-mail to Weitze web-site. Robert
    19. [attachmentid=44626][attachmentid=44627]A new arrival. It may be bronze. It hasn't been shown yet I don't think.
    20. [attachmentid=44622][attachmentid=44623]Nice Tinnies guys. Pete it is time to get your Saar tinnies out.
    21. INow I need a phtocopy of the images Ralph posted. I have decided not to let this go. What I see is what I want to buy. It is as simple as that. If I saw the one I received I would not have bought it. Anybody want to buy a nice Saar medallion box? HA HA Robert
    22. Guys, Have I lost my mind or did Weitz's image just get removed? It was ther at 1:00 PM est. No answer to my e-mail yet either. Hum!
