These things were posted in WAF. From a man, who was in the Brigade Ehrhardt im Verband SS in 1934. What is with the skull on the black material? Could it be a kind of commemorative sleeve skull, which showed that the member was in the Sturmkompanie in past?

It's a Freikorps insignia, but I don't know which one. What's the badge under the EKI?

Thomas, not all men of the Brigade Ehrhardt had such skulls on their sleeve. I hoped to get some infomations, because I read they had a Sturmkompanie and they had a Flammenwerferzug. Freikorps Flammenwerfer badge? Badge of the Sturmkompanie? .

I think I have a (very serious) problem.

Every time I look at this totenkopf pennant, I think of Cherie Blair.

The result of too much skull collecting during last years. I wonder, when I will have similar symptoms......:cheeky:

Last year I got this skull badge and I had already posted it here before.

It came together with some Freikorps items. That was the reason why I thought, it must have a relation to that period.

Today I got an answer! The badge is for soldiers, who fought in the Czechoslovak Legion (for example the Legion fought in Russia during the Russian Civil War).

Perhaps a German Freikorps member (who fought in East) brought it to Germany?

Another mystery....and finally an answer. Some things need time.

I don't remember what the final auction price was. 1500 Euro? More or less?

But I know, it was not cheap.......

I didn't remember that................ must have been a few years ago.

I found the old photo from some of the pictures I saved from the WAF when I was still a member there.

Just looked a bit similar to the picture Thomas posted.
