American Tank Destroyer unit, as I recall .............. despite the old German newspaper cutting pasted on to the back !!
I found it in one of your old threads about unknown skull badges in WAF. Not longer a mystery.....:D

but everything comes to he who waits!
Yes, sometimes you have to wait. And sometimes you have to wait for a second chance.
I gave this badge to another collector in past. I have never seen another one.
Now he decided to sell his collection and I got it back! :D

I think the bones are the most interesting detail.

The thread started with some thoughts about Minenwerfer. Here is a rare photo, which the seller described as Minenwerfer. Notice the badge!

Who has ever seen this skull (right page, first row, second badge)?

The only other available information is, that in the photo album are pictures from the period 1914-1920.

Do you have a date for the last photo?
Sorry, I have no date for the photo.

What's the story behind the last three photos?
The photos are from the photo album of an officer, who was a Flammenwerfer soldier at the end of the war.

I'm sure, that on the prototype was a typical Imperial Brunswick skull and not a later used Wehrmacht skull pattern.

Let's all pitch in to split the cost, and then we'll take turns keeping it in our houses.
Mmmmhhh......
I think no!

Not me!
I hope all collectors think the same!
PS: It is a fake of a Wehrmacht tradition cap skull on a Pickelhaube.

Pionier of Pionier-Regiment 35, one of two poison-gas regiments, wearing some kind of sleeve badge. Looks like a dark skull-and-crossbones to me.
Thomas, thanks again for posting such a nice photo!
That detail looks really interesting to me. You said, the badge in the photo is a poison-gas sleeve badge?
Do you have more informations about the Regiment?
