      thanks guys as in the book there are 1939 entries it looks like ww1 thought it may have been second eddition book.but due to the 39 entries looks ww1 ish thanks for looking

      hi simon hows this for a theory he was born in 1896 there date stamps in the book up till 1944 that would put him in his fortys and in the 1914/18 war he would have been late teens to early 20s?so maybe ww1 awards.no awards on page 22 here is best i can do as my close ups aint that good thanks for looking
