    1. 2nd class Nemanja awarded to Russian Greco-Roman wrestler Aleksandr Karelin by minister Rasim Ljajić. By the way Karelin is Hero of the Russian Federation! He is also recipient of the Order of Saint Sava - Serbian Orthodox Church decoration.

    2. Milorad Dodik posthumously awarding Srđan Aleksić (on the right) with the Order of Honor. Srđan was a Serb from Trebinje (Herzegovina) who lost his life while saving his Muslim friend during war. The order was received by his father.

    3. Order of Honor with Golden Rays is 12th in order of precedence and can be awarded to institutions, organizations and individuals for contribution in affirmation of civil rights, tolerance among people and nations, rule of law and liberties and also to individuals and organizations who have contributed to strengthening the reputation of the Republic of Srpska with their public work and achievements .

I apologize for bad translation, translating these criteria is always a bit of a problem for me.

Here's the only picture I managed to find, unfortunately black and white and pretty small...

    4. Order of the Flag of the Republic of Srpska with Golden Wreath is 4th in order of precedence and can be awarded to prominent individuals and institutions for work and outstanding merits in postwar development of Republic of Srpska, strengthening the peace and international cooperation, personal achievements of great importance and contribution to the affirmation of the Republic of Srpska.

    5. I believe that three more orders were instituted later but I was not able to determine when exactly. Those are:

      01. Order of the Flag of Republic of Srpska (Орден заставе Републике Српске)

      02. Order of St. Petar Zimonjić (Орден светог Петра Зимоњића)

      03. Order of Honor (Орден части)

The National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska instituted Order of the Flag of Republic of Srpska and Order of Honor on the 25th of July 2002.

Order of the Flag has two clases - Order of the Flag of Republic of Srpska with Golden Wreath (1st class) and Order of the Flag of Republic of Srpska with Silver Wreath (2nd class).

That also goes for the Order of Honor - Order of Honor with Golden Rays (1st class) and Order of Honor with Silver Rays (2nd class).

    6. Greetings Rogi,

Great catch! :) Silver Medal of the Crown of King Zvonimir with Oak Leaves (Srebrna kolajna Krune kralja Zvonimira sa hrastovim grančicama). First I must point out that this is not my field, my knowledge is pretty limited when it comes to Nazi Croatia.

BK stands for Braća Knaus (Brothers Knaus), the name of the factory used from 1940 until 1948. Before that, during Kingdom of SCS and Yugoslavia, it was Griesbach and Knaus. After the communists came to power factory was nationalized and renamed IKOM.

It is interesting that BK and even GK hallmarks can be seen on some early made Partisan commemorative decorations 1941 (Partizanska spomenica).

As for the bird, at first NDH was using the same silver hallmark as Kingdom of Yugoslavia - "Rooster", and from (I think) December 1942 they introduced their own - "Goose".

TK hallmark was also used during NDH, it stands for Teodor Krivak.

The medal looks fine to me, I think that you did well, the ribbon also seems to be original. But then again I'm no expert, it would be great is someone else could confirm this...

    7. Thank you very much Nick! You have answered all of my questions, and much more.

After the civil war many Russians came to Serbia so it's not that strange that things like this show up here from time to time.

I once watched a TV documentary about "our" Russians, there I heard that at that time every 10th resident of our capital was Russian. And they gave a big contribution to our country considering that a lot of them had higher education, professors, members of academy, architects... Not to mention the officers and members of the White Guard. My grandfather told me that when he was young a Russian colonel lived in the same building as he and he also had I think math teacher from Russia. :)
